Hugh Update!

What a Season so far! We broke loads of records, like best start in a Season or most wins in a row.
The La Liga campaign seems to be a victorious this season as we're at least 15 points ahead of Real Madrid and only 21 points are in for the hunt!
If everything will go as it was up to now, the League points record and the goalscoring record will be broken.

Some players had been outstanding this Season, like Lionel Messi, Neymar jr., Rafinha, Jordi Alba or Javier Mascherano!
Lionel Messi is leading the goalscoring stats in La Liga & Copa del Rey and also the assists charts in La Liga!
Messis outstanding Season lead to him picking up the FIFA Balon D'Or and the World Player of the Year Award!
Neymars contributions brought him the European Golden Boy Award! Rafinha was also in the shortlist to this Award!
Javier Mascherano, Lionel Messi had been voted into the World XI, where Rafinha and Neymar had been voted into as substitutions in that Team!

The Team also reached the Copa del Rey-Final and the UEFA Champions-League-quarter-final.

Two Players have left the club!

Pedro joined FC Chelsea for a deal of 40 mio.€ in January and Douglas left Barcelona after 5 games, because he wanted to go back to his home country.
He joined Botafogo at the end of March for a fee of 2 mio.€

FC Bayern Munich - FC Barcelona

Allianz Arena: 66 082

FC Bayern: Neuer - Lahm(c), Boateng, Badstuber, Alaba - Martinez - Müller, Thiago, Schweinsteiger, Ribery - Lewandowski
Subs used: Benatia
Subs unused: Reina, Rafinha, Rode, Götze, Shaqiri, Alonso

FC Barcelona: ter Stegen - Vermaelen, Bartra - Alves, Mascherano, Alba - Xavi(c), Rakitic - Rafinha, Messi, Suarez
Subs used: Roberto, Busquets, Munir
Subs unused: Bravo, Montoya, Pique, Sandro

Well that was not seen before this Season! A team managed by Pep Guardiola had less possesion!
I would guess, that he is not bothered by that statistic, as his Team overcome his former club FC Barcelona in a dominant way. Bayern had 13 shots at the target and Barcelona only had one shoot on target on their statistics sheet.

Luis Enrique had to rotate a little bit, as Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets had been struggeling with fitness in the last few weeks. Both players started at the Bench!
Another problem for Enrique was that Neymar jr. is missing a while now and Luis Suarez is right now not able to replace him equally!
Guardiola also had a important player out injured (Robben).

The Game started not that spectacular, as both teams tried to outplay the other one. It took 12 minutes until the first chance had been presented to the fans, as Lionel Messi outrun 3 Bayern defenders to play a perfect timed pass to Luis Suarez, whom made such a terrible shoot, that Manuel Neuer didn't had any problem to catch that ball.
5 minutes later a corner from Bayern found the back of the net, as the german international Holger Badstuber heads the ball and ter Stegen had no chance of saving that one.
Bayern now took control of the game and Barcelona hadn't had a single chance until the end!
In the final moments of the game, it was Franck Ribery who doubled the lead and put the already crowned Bundesliga champion into the comanding position for the second game of the round!

Bayern-star seen in Barcelona!

Days before the UEFA Champions League clash from Bayern against Barcelona, Thiago Alcantara was seen on the Barcelona training ground!
Luis Enrique already expressed his interest in bringing back the former Barcelona player.

Thiago said at his departure a year ago, that he loves the club and is sad to leave! Luis Enrique hopes that his love for the club and catalunya will bring him back!

Espanyol Barcelona - FC Barcelona

Espanyol: Casilla - Lora, Valiente, Colotto, Alvarez - Abraham, Rafinha - Garcia(c), Sevilla, Montanes - Stuani
Subs used: Lanzarote, Lucas, Javi Lopez
Subs unused: Pau Lopez, Morillaz, Alvaro, Martinez

Barcelona ter Stegen - Pique, Bartra - Montoya, Mascherano, Adriano - Xavi(c), Roberto - Rafinha, Messi, Suarez
Subs used: Busquets, Rakitic, Sandro
Subs unused: Bravo, Alves, Vermaelen, Munir

100 goals? check! Lionel Messi scored his Season goals 50 & 51! (36 in La Liga) Messi scored a header in the 19th minute and only 6 minutes later he doubled the lead, after a fine pass from Rafinha!
The game was set after only 25 minutes, as Espanyol never stand a chance against Barcelona' offensive movements.
In the second half it was again Rafinha, who played a lovely back heel pass into the feet of Montoya, who only had to curl the ball into the far post.
Sandro was about to be Messis replacement, as the argentinian captain passed the ball to Luis Suarez, who scored a beautiful lob over Kiko Casillas to score the final 4:0!

FC Barcelona - FC Bayern Munich

FC Barcelona: ter Stegen - Pique, Bartra - Montoya, Busquets, Adriano - Xavi(c), Rakitic - Rafinha, Messi, Suarez
Subs used: Patric, Samper, Munir
Subs unused: Bravo, Vermaelen, Roberto, Sandro

FC Bayern: Neuer - Lahm(c), Boateng, Badstuber, Alaba - Martinez - Müller, Schweinsteiger, Alonso, Ribery - Lewandowski
Subs used: Benatia, Pizarro, Rafinha
Subs unused: Reina, Rode, Bernat, Shaqiri

A hugh surprise was that Thiago wasn't named as a player for tonight, not in the starting line-up and not even on the bench! Thiago rumordly is in contract talks with Barcelona.
The transfer of Xabi Alonso seems to be a problem for Thiago, as he is not a first team option, as it seems!
The game itself was like everyone expected. Barcelona tried everything to score an early goal and bring themselves back into business for a semi-final spot.
Barcelona had severel chances to score, but Suarez nor Rakitic were able to finish some great team moves!
The first half ended with a 0:0.

The second half started like the first, but Bayern played some great counter attacks and it only took them 10 minutes, to score the deciding away goal. Thomas Müller scored an header from inside of the box and 3 minutes later it was Franck Ribery who doubled the lead.
Luis Enrique made 3 changes and gave the Barca B players Patric, Samper and Munir some playing minutes in such a hugh game.
Patric, Barcelona B captain, scored a beautiful goal at the end of the game and at least someone had something to celebrate!

Done deal!

Thiago Alcantara is back in Barcelona! The La Masia student wanted to come back to his beloved club.
The former spanish under21 captain signs a 5-year-contract and said that Luis Enrique has a plan with him and he will do everything to make this plan happen!

Also it was a important reason for him to have the chance to play together with his broter Rafael Alcantara (Rafinha) in La Liga!

Madrid seem to be lucky, that they are still 11 players on the pitch! Khedira and Pepe both could've been send into the dressing room for their fouls.
Let's wait for the Second half.

FC Barcelona - Athletic Bilbao

FC Barcelona: ter Stegen - Mascherano, Vermaelen - Adriano, Xavi(c), Mathieu - Roberto, Rakitic - Munir, Messi, Suarez
Subs used: Sandro, Iniesta, Rafinha
Subs unused:Bravo, Pique, Bartra, Busquets

Athletic: Iraizoz - Balenziaga, Gurpegi(c), Laporte, Aurtenetxte - Rico, Iturraspe - Susaeta, de Marcos, Gomez - Arduriz
Subs used: Iraola, San Jose, Torquero
Subs unused: Herrerin, Sola, Etxeita, Moran

A really bad performance, by both teams only two chances had been presented to the fans in the first half, the first after a really bad mistake by Mathieu. He wanted to pass the ball to ter Stegen, but he had overseen Ibai Gomez, whom missed the net by a couple of meters!
The other chance was for Oscar de Marcos, who shoot on ter Stegens goal, but that was not a hugh task, for the young german goalkeeper!

The second half started even worser than the first! The first chance was a goal, in the 70th minute it was Javier Mascherano who scored, but he find the own net! That was unnessacary, because ter Stegen would've saved that cross easily!
Now the trouble minutes began! Barcelona gave everything to even the odds and in the 80th minute it was the Barca B player Sandro who scored a beautiful header, after a cross from Adriano.
It seemed that the teams now settle and be happy with the draw, but not with Luis Suarez!
The uruguayan striker scored a beautiful header after another good cross from Adriano in the 87th minute and only a minute later he scored into the empty net, after Sandro made a well timed pass to Suarez inside of the 6yard box!
That was it and now Madrid has to win the next game or Barcelona are the Champions!

The Champion is crowned!

Real Madrid was unable to win against Granada and therefore FC Barcelona are the new Champions with 4 games to go for Barcelona and 5 for Madrid, it is a really early Champions crowning!
The next game is the final of the Copa del Rey, where both teams meet each other again!

FC Barcelona - Real Madrid

Barcelona: ter Stegen - Pique, Mascherano - Alves, Busquets, Alba - Iniesta(c), Rakitic - Rafinha, Messi, Suarez
Subs used: Roberto, Sandro, Munir
Subs unused: Bravo, Adriano, Bartra, Xavi

Subs unused: Navas, Herrmann, Jese, Carvajal

It's Final-time!
Madrid will be keen to avenge what they had to suffer a week ago in the La Ligaclash against FC Barcelona(4:0).
Barcelona have their best team on the pitch, with the exeption of Neymar jr. who is still suffering from a bad injury at the start of the year.
Real Madrid made some changes in comparison to the last match against Barcelona. Kroos, Savic and Isco start and Benzema, Pepe and Illara aren't in the first eleven and the first two aren't even named for the bench!

The game was on and Barcelona scored right away. Iniesta played the ball down the right side, because Rafinha moved into the penalty area, Dani Alves was alone in front of the goal and nets it in. Barcelona was in control of the game, but then Gareth Bale equalized the result. The first half was set.

The second half started in the same way, Messi didn't even need a minute to bring back the lead, with an amazing dribbling. Messi did raise his performance in the second half, as he assisted Andres at his goal in the 57th minute and only seconds later it was Luis Suarez who scored the 4:1!
Luis Enrique subbed in Sandro, Munir and Roberto to give Messi, Rafinha and Iniesta the standing ovations they deserved!

Getafe 0:4 FC Barcelona

Barcelona: ter Stegen - Mascherano, Pique - Alves (72.Montoya), Busquets (66.Xavi), Alba - Iniesta(c) (57.Roberto), Rakitic - Rafinha, Messi, Suarez

A good, dominant win after winning the League-title was a joy to see! Messi, of course, showed some clinical finishing and dribbling moves!
That was a good start to our goal of breaking the most league goals in a season!

FC Barcelona 2:4 Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona: ter Stegen - Mascherano, Pique - Alves, Xavi(c), Alba - Iniesta (72.Adriano), Rakitic (64.Roberto) - Rafinha, Messi, Suarez (46.Munir)

Well we wanted to celebrate with the cules, but it wasn't the game we expected. Rayo was dominant in every area of the game and it was a well deserved win for them!

Villareal 1:3 FC Barcelona

Barcelona: ter Stegen - Mascherano, Pique - Alves, Busquets (46.Xavi), Alba - Iniesta (c), Rakitic (78.Roberto) - Rafinha, Messi(63.Sandro), Suarez

New point record? Check! the 34th win after 37 games and now 102 points is an outstanding record. You can see that the Season comes to an end, as there are some tired legs in the squad, but it's only 90minutes left in the Season and it's in the front of the home fans!

FC Barcelona 4:0 Eibar

Barcelona: ter Stegen - Mascherano, Pique - Alves, Busquets (67.Xavi), Alba - Iniesta(c) (59.Xavi), Rakitic - Rafinha, Messi, Neymar (72.Munir)

Neymar is back, 3 months after his injury, that's the most important thing today. A good last game of the Season and now we count the days until the next Season and the FIFA World Cup starts!

Hugh transfer earthquake in Barcelona?

The last Season just ended and the Teams are already planning which player they want to buy or sell.
Luis Suarez could be the player to start the expensive moves! The uruguayan striker is currently unhappy with his role as striker number 4, behind Lionel Messi, Neymar jr. and Rafinha. Also Gerard Deulofeu is back after his loan spell at FC Sevilla.
The uruguayan striker wants to show a good display of himself in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Other players who are about to leave Barcelona could be Adriano, who is linked with a move to Paris St.Germain and Arsenal London or Denis Suarez, who could be available at loan for a good Liga BBVA side.
Jeremy Mathieu is linked with a move to Olympique Marseille.

Munir el Haddadi could get some more playing time in the Barca B team and Sandro might be promoted for good.
Xavis playing time could be reduced according to the already finished re-signing of Thiago Alcantara!

First Players leave Barcelona

Alex Song, was on loan at West Ham, was sold to FC Porto for a fee of 10 mio. € and defender Jeremy Mathieu was sold to Olympique Marseille for a fee of 4 mio. €!
