Okay, so I recently took over a Paulista who were 14th after 14 league games in the second division. I was told be the board that my target was to make Paulista into a major player n the division by the end of the two year plan. In the remaining 24 games I took the team to 4th and won promotion.
In the Sao Paulo State league I was told to just enjoy my time there. However I made it to the final and was beaten 3-2 by Palmeiras.
Now in the First Division my target was to avoid relegation, after 10 games I was 3rd and had only been beaten once.
All of a sudden I was sacked because "I was not even trying to reach the boards expectations"
Umm, I think I was doing a wee bit better than what they had expected. Can anyone see any sense in that?
really? this happened? =D=D
this is hilarious but i have never heard of this before.
Is the chairman ultra harsh or something? lol unbelievable.
At Valencia I took over, they were dead bottom. I got them up to 4th I think and apparently my job was very insecure. I ended up quitting over money issues
it can depend on lots of things such as club harmony same happened to me at man utd won everything for 3 years then got sacked and was top of league and in knockout stages of champs league
i managed wigan got to third in prem and one leauge cup i then sold heskey for 20 mill and got sacked:(
squad harmony is very important!
my job was very insecure with dinamo kiev, won the europa league with them, and the league and the cup.
the fans loved my signings espesh borges and salvio, but because i had bad squad harmony (i am very harsh with my players). i was insecure and left for atletico madrid, took a few players with me aswell haha
im quite harsh to my team as well, but only when i need to be. i have never had problems with squad harmony. but i havent been able to play lots of games for a long period of time. so probably been lucky in that sense.
It said the reason I was sacked was because I wasn't even attempting to live up to the boards expectations (big player in the 2nd Division after two years).
My whole team were pretty happy, apart from two or three players who wanted to join Cruzeiro (Who finished 17th by the way...I hate it when players say that they want to join bigger clubs when the team they are currently at is doing much better than the team they want to join)
My biggest problem is with squad harmony, do you think that SI should put in a decncy section to AI managers. I bought Sissoko (Toulouse) for Celtic, he was amazing, got him to mark keeper for corners, scored boat loads. And Wenger comes along and says he wants him, and Arsenal were one of his favorite teams, and I declared hands of, and he kept coming back, and to be fair, Wenger is not that type of manager, I can see Hughes doing it and he does (Lescott) but they all seem to be the same when it comes to being asses. Also I think players should have a sort of realistic element where say, if someone declares interest they think about it, and maybe, ask if they can leave, like the whole Fletcher thing with Celtic. He went to the press, said it would be a dream move and if the opportunity came up he would take it, but it was up to the club and he would agree with whatever move and that he would continue to go about his job professionally. Noone seems to be like that!
