N.U.F.C issues

Hey guys and girls,
I know its just Beta right now and things may change however for the mean time I cannot get De-Jong to do anything playing as a AMC. I have tried advanced play maker and shadow striker but he plays non of the balls I want him to and rarely links the attacks to my lone striker. Does anybody have any helpful tips on instructions or positions that he will take control of my team and thrust us into the Europa league?

At ajax he was more an attacker and scored some important goals that helped them win 3 league championships.
