Cheers mate! I'm really enjoying your Man Utd story.

Thanks man!

A very inconsistent set of results really. AFC Fylde are absolutely flying so a 1-2 away defeat isn't a dreadful result and we then managed to follow that up with two good wins, but the game against Bradford Park Avenue was a shambles. We were 3-0 down very early on & scored a very late consolation. It might have only been the FA Trophy and there wasn't any points at stake but it was still an awful result and a very poor performance. We then went away to North Ferriby and started dreadfully again, going 2-0 down early on. After a little hairdryer treatment at half time we were noticeably better in the second 45 minutes and in the end managed a decent away point.

We are still down near the bottom of the league and according to the tabloids my job is at risk. Injuries are crippling us at the moment because our squad is small to begin with and there is no money available to allow us to bring in replacements. Not an ideal situation by any means.

This is more like it. Aside from a very disappointing defeat at Colwyn Bay, a team that hadn't won at home all season and were second from bottom in the league, we've been pretty good in recent games. We are unbeaten in four league games and now we are looking up the table rather than down it. I'm confident after seeing the 20 games I've now been in charge that we are too good to go down, but I also don't think we are good enough to go up either. A comfortable mid-table finish would represent decent progress since I took over and it would probably be enough to keep me in a job. Next up we have three very winnable games against teams below us in the league, followed by two games in which I don't expect us to get anything. Hopefully we can keep our little run going and pick up more valuable points!

As you can see we are now making progress in terms of our league position & we've also managed to open up a six point gap between ourselves and the relegation zone. Happy days!
