THE UNOFFICIAL WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP


The Unofficial World Football Championship began all the way back in 1873, when England defeated Scotland 4-2 in only the second ever international match. By becoming the first winners of an international match, England became the very first Unofficial World Champions of football.

The premise of the UWFC is simple- when the World Champions lose, the title passes onto the team that defeats them. In the case of a draw, the title remains with the holders.

Argentina have finally lost their World Champions crown after an upset 3-2 loss to Paraguay. A Roque Santa Cruz brace was enough to see Paraguay over the line as they held off a very strong Argentina outfit.
