Team Analysis Before the 2014/15 Pre-Season
WSW Team Analysis DEFENDERS
Goalkeepers
Ante Covic and Dean Bouzanis
We are very lucky to have 2 quality keepers ready for the upcoming season. Ante Covic is one of the fan favourites at Pirtek Stadium, after joining the club as one of their first ever signings, the 39-year old has won the Goalkeeper of the year. He will definently be our starting goalkeeper for the A-League. His younger (23 year old) counterpart is Dean Bouzanis, who recently joined the club on a free from Sky Bet League 1 side Carslile, where he made 36 appearances, he is a Liverpool youngster. He will most likely play in the cup games for us, as I much prefer Ante Covic, but who knows what will happen when Ante retires.
Left and Right Backs
Daniel Alessi (RB), Daniel Mullen (C/RB), Anthony Golec (LB), Iacopo La Rocca (L/CB) and Shannon Cole (R/WB/M)
We are slightly lacking in the wing backs, despite having a lot of players who
can play either LB or RB, we do not have anyone who is a star in these positions. This is something I hope to change over the transfer window. But I will still analyse our current players regardless. One of the hottest prospects in the team is our 16-year old RB Daniel Alessi, who I will be trying to play as much as possible, as I like to make the most of young hot talent that I have on my hands. Shannon Cole, the Australian capped winger/midfielder is going to be playing a large role in my tactics this season will be needing to continue to practice playing RB, where I will most likely play him most.
Shannon Cole is full of emotion
Other players that may get a chance at playing R or LB are Daniel Mullen, Anthony Golec and Iacopo La Rocca
Centre Backs
Brendan Hamill (CB), Matthew Spiranovic (CB), Nikola Topor-Stanley (CB)
Centre back is probably our strongest position. We are very fortunate to have the services of starting Australian centre back Matthew Spiranovic, who will be partnered by our club captain Nikola Topor-Stanley. We also have a very handy youngster who will be able to back up or maybe even fight for a place if someone is out of form. Hamill is one who I will be looking to make the most of when I can.

WSW Team Analysis MIDFIELDERS
Wide Midfielders
Shannon Cole (D/WB/MR), Romeo Castalen (AMR), Brendon Santalab (ST/AMR), Kwabena Appiah-Kubi (AMR/L)
We are relatively strong in the wide midfield position. But I would still like to strenghten it if I can in this off-season. We are lucky to have people like Shannon Cole who can play everywhere, but I am hoping that other people can step up and help him. We have the very experienced Romeo Castalen who I will be relying on to give the team a boost and gather the troops while feeding them with some terrific pases. We also have the speed and youth of Kwabena Appiah-Kubi who will become a force in the years to come, who hopefully will play at LM or AML. Santalab can also fill in, but will most likely back up at striker if needed.
Central and Attacking Midfielders
Vitor Saba (AMC/MC), Mateo Poljak (MC/DM), Labinot Haliti
The midfield is going to be very strong this season. Especially in the formations and tactics that I am planning on using this season. Vitor Saba is our man to replace Shinji Ono as the marquee player, and I very much hope that he can deliver for us. He will be playing with Mateo Poljak, one of our most talented players who has been at the club since the start. Haliti can also player central midfield and will partner one of these players depending on the formation.
Hoping to fill the void left by club favourite Shinji Ono as the Marquee man
WSW Team Analysis ATTACKERS
Strikers
Tomi Juric, Mark Bridge, Brendon Santalab
Striker is by far our deepest position on the pitch. We have a large amount of players that can play it, and play it well. Tomi Juric is one of the hottest prospects in Australian football and I am sure will have a cracking season. He will be partnered by the club legend, Mark Bridge who is the leading goal scorer in the history of the club. Brendon Santalab will also have a role as the main backup and hopefully he can bang some home as well.
Mark Bridge will be looking to continue his goal scoring record this year
