HYDE FOOTBALL CLUB

HISTORY: After one season in the Lancashire and Cheshire Federation, Hyde joined the Manchester League and by 1930 had won it five times and won the Gilgryst Cup twice.[5] During the 1920s, the teams players wore black-and-white halved shirts for a spell. The club moved into the Cheshire County League in 1930 and won the League Challenge Cup four years later. The decade after the Second World War proved to be a purple patch for the club. In 1946 they won the Cheshire Senior Cup, the first of many trophies to arrive at Ewen Fields during the next ten years.[5] In 1953 Hyde won the League Cup followed by a league and cup double a season later. The 1955–56 season saw the club retain the championship and finish as runners-up in the following three seasons.[5]

They reached the FA Cup first round in 1954 only to lose 5–1 away to Workington, who were at that time managed by Bill Shankly.[5] Hyde were founder members of the Northern Premier League in 1968 but could not afford the cost of travel to places like Ashington and Scarborough and rejoined the Cheshire League in 1970 where they remained for 12 years. They won the League Cup in 1973, and in 1981 finished as runners-up in the league and winners of the Cheshire Senior Cup and The League Challenge Shield.

The team was saved from bankruptcy by MAN CITY and therefore they are in affiliation
Team is playing on Ewen fields 4073 is capacity of it.
  • TEAM
  • IT LOOKS GOOD FOR THIS LEAGUE

    I will use this formation

Next post will be for transfers and pre-season.
  • PRE-SEASON

  • Match against Crewe

We had great number of chances considering they are playing in league 1 and i hope we can continue like that

    Match agains Huddersfield U21

Less chances than i expected but ok it was good match for us.

Because of poor financial situation i was not been able to bring new faces.
  • REPORT FOR AUGUST

  • In first two matches we dominated the game but had no luck.
In next two matches we showed lethal touch and scored 7 goals and conseed 4 goals
We are currently lying in 9th place with 9 points in 6 matches, whitch is 4 points less than first placed boston utd.
Against Bradford PA we were leading 3-1 but as you can see lack of defense has took its point and we lost that match even as we dominated and a draw against Tamworth with 14 shots on target with 4 clearcut chanses but we won only one point.
Next month 4 matches in league and 1 FA cup quals.
Good luck and not a bad start lad!
Thanks Denzy i tought no one is looking at my story but you proved that i'm wrong

    September report

    Gloucester city vs Hyde 1-2

Good win for us.Had better possesion and shots and this match showed us how we need to play in further matches

    Hyde vs Hendersford Town 1-2

Even with a dominance in your pocket you are not guarantied to win matches. We played good but we haven't made our chances pay.Hope next match will be better.

    Brackley Town vs Hyde 1-3

Another fantastic spell of dominance and we made our chances in opp goal so i'm very happy how things are going at this moment

    Hyde vs Lofestoft Town 2-0

We are on a good run and even Josh Brizell got red card in 22 min we have dominated the match and showed a lethal touch.

League standings for us are pleasing

    Buxton vs Hyde

    Fa cup quals.

Easy win for us many shots with good possesion and we are through to next quals round.
