Bringin back some Masia talents?

Eric Abidal is now 6 months in charge and he played loads of different players, but rumors say, that Abidal wants to bring back one or two players to strenghten his squad.
The central midfielder position is not the strongest one at the moment, as Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta are slowly feeling their age and cannot start every single match and Sergi Roberto seems to be the only good option to rotate.

Ivan Rakitic is not good enough for the new style of football Abidal played with his team and the fast passing, one touch football is not the thing Rakitic is known for.
Rakitic is the kind of player, who needs some space and time for his passing.



Thiago Alcantara is one of the former Masia talents, which left Barcelona a couple of years ago, when Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu where in charge. Thiago had been sold for 25 mio. € to Bayern Munich and former Barcelona Manager Pep Guardiola.
Thiago was once labled as the next Xavi Hernandez, but a lot of injuries had thrown him back and he hadn't had a longer run, without an injury!
Abidal could also sign Cesc Fabregas back to the Camp Nou, Fabregas is a Chelsea London player at the moment, but Fabregas would be really interested in taking Xavis spot at the central midfielder in this team!
Fabregas made himself a key player for Jose Mourinhos Chelsea squad, but to become a key player for Barcelona is what he always wanted to be and now, it could be his time!

Looking unbeatable!

The Team is looking unbeatable at the moment! At least in the BBVA campaign. 18 games ago, we'd lost to Malaga and from then on we got 17 wins and 1 draw. After only 24 games we already reached the 100 league goals! The offense is so strong this year and the Team is not only relaying on Lio. The team makes some awesome team moves, therefore 4 of our players are in the leading BBVA assistants.
Lionel has 16 assists, Luis Suarez 14, Neymar jr. 13 and Andres has 11 assists on his stat sheet.
The goalscorer is leading Neymar jr. with an incredibla amount of 30 goals right now and Luis Suarez has 26, what also makes over 1 goal per game!
Neymar needed for his 43 goals or assists in the BBVA (57 in all competitions) only 23 games ( 33 in all competitions)!

Copa del Rey

This years Copa del Rey campaign wasn't succesful, we lost in the fifth round in a really bad way against Atletico Madrid with a aggregate lost of 5:6 and all 6 goals had we received in the Camp Nou!
Atletico totally deserved to move into the next round after they'd beaten us so bad in our own stadium!

FIFA Ballon D'Or and other awards!

There could only be one player! The last years winner Lionel Messi has won the trophy again and already won the FIFA Ballon D'Or for the 6th time now, at the Age of only 28! Since 2007 Messi had won this trophy 6 times, was the 2 times runner-up and once on the third place! That is a record which will never be broken from a player at his age.
Messi played 55 games this year and scored 36 goals and 29 assists. Messi was used as a striker under Luis Enriques reign and since Eric Abidal is in charge, he is used as a attacking midfielder.
Messi also won the Best Player in Europe-Award.

Fenerbahce - Barcelona

We knew that the first game in Istanbul would be tough, but that was real hard work out there!
Fenerbahce almost made a three-goal-comeback! We had them down with 1:4 at the 85th minute, but what they showed them is a moral which we hadn't seen in a long time!

The Istanbul-Fans really pushed their Team and they totally deserve our respect for their effort and we're really lucky to get the upperhand against such a strong opponent!
As you now can see, there is no weak opponent in the UEFA Champions League Knockout-rounds.

Now we need to keep our head high for the upcoming second leg and need to secure that we advance into the next round.

Three goals in the first 30 minutes, already made clear, who will move into the next round and it was the FIFA Ballon D'Or winner Lionel Messi who scored two goals and made clear, why this Barcelona team is one of the biggest favourites to win this years UEFA Champions League.

Neymar also showed, that his form this season is outstanding. He scored two goals and became the leading UEFA Champions League goalscorer with 8 goals up to now.
Fenerbahce were broken, after the first 30 minutes and hadn't stood a chance against Barcelona in the second leg.

The cules were really happy with the teams performance and are waiting for the next round.
