I was watching Match of the Day on Saturday when they mentioned Alan Hansen's infamous 'You'll never win anything with kids' quote. It was provoked by Manchester United's extremely young side that faced Aston Villa on the first day of the 1995-96 season. They had sold some key players that pre-season, without bringing in replacements. Instead, Sir Alex Ferguson drafted in youngsters Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Gary & Phil Neville and one David Beckham.
I had always loved the idea of playing young players and giving them a chance. Especially when a relatively unknown player bursts onto the scene.

Therefore, I have decided to begin this Football Manager with Arsenal save to honour the youth route. I have released/sold all first team players and have promoted pretty much everyone from the u21s & u18s to the first team.
