The Press Conference

http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/VaQMZ5djkXs/0.jpg

Chips Keswick (The Chairman): Welcome to today's press conference, I am pleased to present to you the new Arsenal manager: Paul Clement. We will be both taking questions from the media. So lets begin.

Rob Jones (The Sun): Whats it feel like to take over a club like Arsenal Paul?
Paul Clement: It's a great honor to be manager at a club like Arsenal, they have such a wonderful history at this club. *smiles* I am proud of myself as I am now a manager of a club not a assistant to someone.
Rob Jones (The Sun): Mr Keswick, What made you choose Paul?
Chips Keswick: I choose Paul over many candidates as he is a bright English manager, also he has been assistant to one of the worlds most successful mangers. I believe English mangers should be given a chance at a higher level, to prove themselves at the top of the game. Believe it or not Paul did not apply for the job like other coaches/mangers did, Arsène Wenger said to me before he retired he would like to see Paul take over the reins here at Arsenal, as Arsène believes Paul is the right one to take this club forward from him.
Tom Parker (BBC Sport): Paul what sort of players are you looking to bring in here at Arsenal?
Paul Clement: Well to be honest, I shall be looking at the transfer budget and the playing squad looking at where we can improve and strengthen. To be honest I am looking at bringing in a strong holding Defensive midfielder someone who will be like the Patrick Vieira role in my squad. Also I will be looking to bring in someone to replace Thomas Vermaelen as there is now a gap in the center back role and Per Mertesacker will need a new partner at the back. Also I will be looking into the market for one more creative player to add to our squad.
Louis Smith (FourFourTwo): Paul What is your expectations this year for the club?
Paul: Well, my personal exception this year is to get into the Champions League once again as Arsenal have been consistent with qualifying for the Champions League for the past 17 years which is a great record to keep up. However I would still like to win a trophy, as I am sure Arsenal fans wouldn't like to wait nine years for another trophy. These fans deserve every success.

Chips Keswick: Thank you for all your questions gentleman, we will see you in the new season.
Good luck with this...bit more effort with the posts would make it more interesting and fun to read though

Welcome to today's episode on Arsenal TV. Today we are interviewing Paul Clement-The new manager here at the Gunners.

Interviewer: Welcome to Arsenal Paul, what is it like to coach a big team like Arsenal?
Paul Clement: It's a great honor to be in charge of a team like Arsenal, the club has a great history and true legends to the game of football. I also feel really proud to be manager of one the top teams in England, when I was at Chelsea, I thought I had no chance to manage one of the big teams in the world or even coach in England's top league. I always thought I would end up coaching in the lower leagues of English football.

Interviewer: You have had your first training session today Paul, what did you say to the players?
Paul Clement: I said to the players that, I want us to be the best be and push all the way in the competitions we're taking part in this year. I also said I want to see passion and desire and I said I want them to be proud that they are playing for Arsenal.

Interviewer: What is success for you at Arsenal this season?
Paul Clement: To be honest for me it would be to finish in the top three this season and win a trophy such as the Capital One Cup or the FA Cup. However I would love to see us progress into Europe also.

Interviewer: What has been your best moment in your career so far?

Paul Clement: To be honest, the best moment in my career, so far would be winning the champions league last season Real Madrid, that was a brilliant experience, I really want to get Arsenal that stage, and go on to be the best in Europe and then go onto to be the best in the world.

Interviewer: What was it like to work under Carlo Ancelotti?

Paul Clement: He treats the players like men, He expects respect in both directions. He also loves to coach on the field - he's very active day to day.
Carlo carries out the practices and does the work. He's very good in the classroom - with a flip chart, on the tactics board and with the video.
He's really good to work for - over time he gave me more and more responsibility. I would say I've learnt a lot from him.

Interviewer: Thank You Paul, for taking your time out of your busy schedule to speak to us today *shakes Paul's hand* Good Luck for the season Paul.

Paul Clement: Thank you, its been pleasure talking to you. Thank You.

Arsenal sell four players

Arsenal have sold four players to make more transwer funds for new players to come in and take there place:
Francis Coquelin was sold to FC Lorient for a tidy sum of £875k. Well known for his versatility, having also played in both full-back positions, Francis arrived from Laval in 2008 and was an FA Youth Cup winner in his first season as an Arsenal player. He debuted for the first team in the 6-0 Carling Cup win over Sheffield United in September 2008. He enjoyed a highly productive season on loan with French Ligue 1 side Lorient in 2010/11, with his achievements including a dramatic goal in the local derby against Rennes.
Francis has represented his country throughout the youth levels, and was a UEFA Under-19 Championship winner in 2010 – starting four of France’s five games. He also competed in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in 2011.

Nacho MonreaL was sold to premier league rivals Newcastle, for a tidy sum of £8 million pounds. Nacho (full name Ignacio Monreal Eraso) arrived from Malaga, for whom he had featured in the 2012/13 Champions League. He had helped them to fourth place in La Liga the previous season, his first with the Andalusian club. Before that, he represented hometown side Osasuna, for whom he made 127 appearances - helping them to a Europa League semi-final in 2006/07.
Previously a regular in Spain’s Under-21 side, he made his full debut against Macedonia in August 2009 and now battles with Barcelona’s Jordi Alba for the left-back spot.

Mathieu Flamini is the third player to be sold for Arsenal, as they feel he isn't good enough for them anymore and this is the second team he has left Arsenal. Mathieu left Arsenal to join Toulouse FC for a tidy sum of £5.25 Million. Mathieu first joined Arsenal in 2004 from Ligue 1 side Marseille and made 153 appearances for the Gunners before joining AC Milan in the summer of 2008. His stand-out season came in 2007/08, when he was a fixture in the midfield and delivered a string of all-action performances - catching the eye in a team that challenged for the Premier League title.

Mathieu won the Serie A title with Milan in 2010/11, playing an important role in the middle of the park. After his contract expired at the San Siro, he began training with Arsenal - signing for the club two weeks into the 2013/14 Premier League season.

The last player to leave Arsenal is young Joel Campbell, he has left for a tidy sum of £5 million pounds to Olympique Lyonnais. Many people pridicted a bright future for Joel at Arsenal but however Joel Campbell is undeniably talented player but to be honest he just doesn’t fit in at Arsenal. The Gunners have far too many good wide men and it would seem like he wouldn't fit in or get a game.
Lord Andrew returns yet with another sublime story :P

Welcome to tonight's Premier League World. Tonight we are previewing Arsenals season ahead under there new manager Paul Clement.

With £47 million in the transfer kitty and a squad brimming with world-class talent, if they can shore up the defence, a title push isn't out of the question. With Welbeck leading the line and a young English core, this could be the year.

They have a strong core to start with. Szczesny in goal, Koscielny and Mertesacker at the back, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, and Ozil as midfield options, Chamberlain, Sanchez, and Walcott as width, and Giroud and Welbeck up top. A few decent youth players in Gnabry, Zelalem, and Crowley too.

Many believe this is the tactic Paul Clement will be employing this year.

"One of my many dreams is to be England manager one day

Paul Clement, the new Arsenal manger said in his recent interview with Sky Sports news, that one of his many dreams would be to take charge of England one day. He said this " One day I would love to be manager of England, I've dreamed about since I was a little boy and when I first become a coach." When he was asked what does he think of the current England teams performance at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil he replied "It was a big shambles and a great big disappointment. To be honest I was one of the many England supporters who backed the team to get out of group stages and make the quarter finals or semi finals, as I believed we had the quality to do so. It was just a massive disappointment to watch. When I watched England vs Costa Rica when we drew 0-0 at half time I turned the channel as I was just fed up with us not putting 100% effort." Also asked if he would manage any other nations, Paul simply replied "Spain, Germany and Brazil. As they have tons of potential."
Backing England to get to the semifinals! Paul Clement must be delirious! :))
