Where The Bucharest Have You Gone

Today's headlines see Dinamo Bucharest and Steaua Bucharest part companies with there respective managers following two similar incidents with backroom bust ups. Its unknown why the bust ups happened but Steaua made it very clear that manager Constantin Galca resigned on his own accord and said he was unable to work with such a stubborn group of players. Meanwhile at the other Bucharest club Dinamo, there board released a statement saying they had fired manager Flavius Stoican due to violent misconduct and inappropriate behaviour. Almost 32 hours since the sackings both Steaua an Dinamo have both hired Professional Englishmen too takeover the Romanian clubs.

Dinamo had signed 31 year old Englishmen Keiran Caville who had a playing career with Derby County and York City, Caville's career ended short after snapping multiple knee tendons practically ending his 10 year career. After retiring 2 months ago Caville had already possessed a top level coaching badge after wanting to become a coach when he had originally wanted to retire at 36. Caville enjoyed a good playing career scoring over 150 goals in his 10 years and earning 22 Caps for the England National Team scoring on 14 separate occasions. Although Caville isn't well known in Romania its surely going to be a big boost for the Bucharest side and I'm sure the Dinamo fans will be happy with there new man. Dinamo who are sitting 3rd in the league 7 points behind 2nd place Pandurii and 8 points behind bitter rivals Steaua Bucharest will be hoping Caville can push there team on for the rest of the season and win the league, with 17 games left of the season can Caville catch up to Steaua or will he have to settle for second fiddle? who knows?

On the other side of Bucharest at Steaua Aaron Hardy an old playing friend of Caville's has taken the reigns of the title winning side. Steaua said they were delighted to land someone of Hardy's calibre and were looking forward to him taking the club to places they haven't been. Much like Caville, Hardy's career was ended short at the age of 30 after suffering multiple Achilles heel injuries alongside ACL injuries on his right hand side. Hardy enjoyed a playing career at Salisbury City before moving to MK Dons, after a great 70 apps he caught the interest of the Kop who snapped him up for a fee of £7,000,000 when Hardy hit 26 the injuries were to much for Liverpool who let Hardy see his contract out, Hardy then spent 4 years as a free agent popping in and out of amateur clubs scoring a few goals here and there. At the age of 30 Hardy hung up his boots and started to work for his coaching badges, six long years later Hardy emerged with a Continental Pro License ready to hit the managerial scene, after 2 months of looking it seemed that Steaua was his sugar to his cereal and he joined immediately. Steaua who are top of the Liga 1 by 1 point are without doubt the mot successful Romanian club in history and Hardy has a lot of expectation on is shoulders to carry on the proud traditions of the Bucharestian club. Will Steaua be able to hang on to there perch at the top of the league or will challenges from Pandurii (1 Point Behind Steaua) or Dinamo Bucharest (8 Points Behind) be enough to knock them off the top spot, lets see. Steaua have 1 game in hand on Pandurii & Dinamo.
A very creative idea. Will be interesting to see where this goes, good luck! :)
