Hi,

I have not updated my game since i last bought the 2013 version. I had previously bought the new game every year till then. I was wondering if anyone could advise me about whether i should get the newer 2015 version, the 2014 version or are there not enough changes to warrant getting the new game. The 2015 version seems to have a lot of thumbs down in the steam library which is why i ask this question.

Any help, advice or input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris.

People have complained about injuries and the match engine. I haven't had a problem with either, by following simple footballing logic. I've bought every single instalment since 2006 and every year I'm pleased with the progress.

I like (many disagree) the new scouting report. It provides a lot more realism, like the DoF did a couple of years ago.

I agree with everything which a_esbech has said. A lot of people complain about the game but these same people complain about something or another year in, year out. FM has changed a lot over recent years, that much is true. While it may be hard to adapt to the new style of FM, I do believe that it is worth the initial struggle. Rather than being spoon-fed before with sliders and easy options, you are now required to put in a lot more work in to analysing players, training, tactics, etc. I find myself analysing each and every single opponent weeks in advance of each game, attempting to find a potential weakness or strength which could help/harm us. The more you put in, the more you get out. So yes, it is worth it, in my opinion.
^^ This. I think that if you are very tactical you will enjoy this game a lot and will be looking to improve at every instance.
