Where can I download the FM 2010 Gold Demo?

There are three different options in regards to downloading the demo:

1. Direct Download - Click on the following link to be taken to our download page: Vanilla Download - From here you'll be able to select the Demo and download it directly to your system

2. Steam (strawberry version only) - You can download the demo direct from the Steam network, and it will download into steam much like when you buy a game

3. Torrent Download (strawberry version only) - Click here to download the 'Torrent' of the demo. To use the torrent you will need to have a 'torrent downloading' program referred to as a 'client'. Further instructions can be found below:

How to use a Torrent:
Find a torrent program that will suit your needs, the most common clients are Utorrent, Deluge, Vuze and BitTorrent. There are plenty of other clients available as well.

Follow the instructions on downloading and installing your chosen client. Download the torrent via the link provided.
Usually, the web browser's file download manager will ask what to do with this file. You want to open the file with your torrent program.

If it doesn't open that way, just save the .torrent file to an easy to locate place. Then open your torrent client and use the "Open Torrent" feature (Most torrent clients support click & drag).

The download will start automatically. You may now go and do something to pass the time, because torrents do not require your attention and will download in the background.

What is the difference between the 'Strawberry' and 'Vanilla' Demo?

The Strawberry demo contains all the sounds, player pictures and logos within the game. Because of this additional content the file is larger and will take longer to download. The Vanilla demo is a stripped down version of the game, which runs exactly the same but is just a smaller download file.

If you have a relatively slow internet connection we suggest it's probably best to download the Vanilla version.

What are the minimum specs for running the Football Manager 2010 demo on my system?

PC
OS - Windows XP/Vista/Windows7
Processor - XP - 1.4ghz or faster Vista/W7 - 2.0hgz or faster
Memory - XP-512MB Ram, Vista/W7 - 1GB Ram
Video Card - 128MB minimum. Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 or greater; Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater.
Earlier cards may only display 2D Match Viewer Mode and are not supported.
Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.

Mac
Intel Processor, OS X 10.5, NVidia Geforce 7300 GT / ATI X1600 Radeon
Please note, if you system doesn't meet the requirements, the game may work, but we/SEGA do not offer support on these machines. We suggest people who aren't certain if it'll work do indeed try the demo first before buying the game.

What leagues can I run via the Demo?

In the demo you can only run 'quick start' games, which only run one league and a small database.

The demos include the following:

Vanilla
* PC and Mac
* English language
* England, Scotland, Wales and NIR quickstarts

Strawberry
* PC and Mac
* All Euro Languages
* England, Scotland, Wales, NIR, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey quickstarts

How do I install the FM 2010 Gold Demo?

After downloading the demo you will have to open the file to begin the installing process. This can be done by double-clicking on the downloaded icon. Once this is done, just follow the simple on-screen steps to install the game. Once installed a shortcut should appear on your desktop. Just double-click this to run the game.

How do I update my Graphics Card Drivers in order to make the game run better on my system?

This of course depends on your graphics drivers.

Some computer manufacturers insist you download drivers from their own sites. Please refer to the website of your computer manufacturer for downloads and any potential troubleshooting.

Here are the websites of the largest graphics cards and chipset manufacturers:
Nvidia (Gforce/Legacy)
ATI (Radeon)
Intel (Onboard Chipsets)

There are other manufacturers of graphics card drivers. If you can not find drivers for these cards they may have been discontinued. Please ask in this case as we may still be able to help.

I don't have Java installed on my machine and I'm having issues with the Demo Installer.

The installer we use makes use of Java and therefore it's important to ensure you have the latest version, particularly if you are experiencing problems during the installation process.

1. Uninstall any version of Java you have first.
2. Visit this website.
3. Find the correct version for your Operating system and download/install from here.

Where else can I download the demo from?

We will be updating our demo download pages with further links where you can download the demo from. Please bear in mind, there will likely be quite a high demand which could slow the download process.
Vanilla Demo - Strawberry Demo

NEW - What if I want to install Strawberry Demo when I already have Vanilla Demo installed?

Just to be safe, uninstall the Vanilla demo before installing the Strawberry one. Make sure you copy your saved games before you do this though, if you want to keep them.

The minimum requirements appear in both of our demo download pages. Try the strawberry link and look at the bottom of that page.
