Zanetti appointed Inter Manager

Inter Milan have appointed club legend Javier Zanetti as their new manager on a one year contract

He comes after a disappointing season where Inter, under Andrea Stramaccioni where they finished ninth in Seria A. Andrea Stramaccioni was sacked after four defeats in their last five games.

He is an instant favourite with the crowd after playing for Inter from 1995 to 2014. He is the only player who is not from Italy to captain an Italian team and he is the highest appearance maker for an Italian club and he is also inter Milan's all time appearance maker.

A club's spokesmen said' After we lost four of our last five games the board felt like there was no alternative for them then to sack Andrea Stramaccioni and bring in a replacement and we thought long and hard about our replacement. They thought who better to appoint then a club legend who knows the club and is our most loyal player.

Zanetti said at his unveiling yesterday that the club's expectations were fair and he thought that they could go even further and qualify for the Champions League. He said'My dream for this club is to become like the Inter Milan side who won the treble and I am fortunate to have played under great managers and to have the experience of a player for may years, therefore i know how they feel.

Zanetti won sixteen trophies including fifteen under his captaincy and in his biography he said'It was the first team to open the doors of European football. I was very young when I came here and I think not many teams could have had so much faith and patience with a boy in his early twenties from the very first day like Inter did with me. I will always be grateful for that. For some reason I have always felt at home here at Inter and this is why I have never thought of leaving.
AHH an Inter story! Best of luck, hopefully the great Zanetti can lead his beloved Nerazzurri to back to the top of calcio! :)
Best of luck in this story! :)

Dodo makes permanent Inter move

Inter have signed Dodo from Roma today. The Brazilian left-back was deemed surplus to requirements at the Stadio Olimpico following the arrival of Ashley Cole, prompting a move to San Siro

The Nerazzurri will pay their Serie A rivals an initial £900 thousand to take the defender on loan for two seasons and then a further £6.5m as part of a compulsory buy-out clause that the Serie A side will be obliged to meet as soon as the the Brazilian makes his first appearance for the club.

"FC Internazionale wish to announce the signing of Jose Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro, better known as Dodo, on loan with the possibility to purchase him in 2016.” read a statement on the San Siro side's official website. The player has signed a contract lasting until June 2019.

Upon his arrival at the Giuseppe Meazza, Dodo credited coach Javier Zanetti a key factor in his decision to move to Inter.“I spoke to him before I came,” the 22-year-old revealed. "His ideas and his project left me in no doubt whatsoever.

“As for San Siro, I’ve already played there and I’ve seen it full in the Coppa Italia. I’m keen to get out there but it’ll definitely be wonderful, just like the Olimpico.Everyone wants to play in the Champions League but I want to do so with Inter next season. The Champions League is the dream of every footballer.

Zanetti said that the left back will be a great addition to his squad. 'He is a fantastic player and he would be a great addition to any squad. He is young and will improve and he has a great desire for winning' he enthused, He bring pace, power and a great crossing ability and I am sure he will be part of my starting line up for years to come.

Trippier signs for Inter

Kieren Trippier signs for Inter Milan and he is the second purchase after Dodo. He is believed to have cost £7.5 million from Burnley

Trippier,23, signs for Inter Milan now under the stewardship of Javier Zanetti. Zanetti himself played right back and is believed to see some of himself in Trippier. 'Trippier has everything I had the pace, the power and the crossing ability. He has a great desire to come forward and has fantastic stamina and will do everything for the good of the team.

He signs a 4 year contract which signifies that Zanetti is looking at the future and is building his team for the next few years. He was named in the Championship PFA Team of the Year for two consecutive seasons in 2012–13 and 2013–14.

In 2014 he secured promotion with Burnley to the Premier League as the side finished runners-up in the Championship. He has also represented England at all levels from under-18 to under-21, featuring in the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Trippier joins the call of Ashley Cole that more Englishmen should play abroad.'Many more British footballers should play abroad and this is one of the main reasons that England do not do well in championships. Ashley's move here also opened my eyes and he is one of the reasons that I moved here.
Some good Full Backs and I expect them to be good buys for you, I like this story and will do my best to follow.
Interesting in going for Trippier! I would've gone for Santon (has joined them on loan irl) as he is very versatile and solid in every save I've played in and used him in, not to mention that he's Italian! Best of luck, can't hate legends such as Lampard, Gerrard, Zanetti, Gigi, Del Piero, Baresi, Nesta, Maldini, Pirlo, Zidane! I could go on, but :P
Iconic-They are good with potential to get better and thanks
Pauker-Trippier fit all my needed attributes of pace and stamina. GHe also has good crossing ability. You just can't hate legends

Flamini signs on loan to Inter

Transfer listed Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini goes to Inter Milan on loan for the rest of the season with the option to buy

Flamini, who is in his thirties, has gone on loan with an option to buy come the end of the season. If Zanetti chooses to buy Flamini the transfer will cost £1.8 million.

Flamini is expected to play as a rotation in the middle of midfield as Zanetti needs players there after playing narrow diamond in Pre Season

Flamini is very happy about the move 'inter Milan are a very good team and I have played at their stadium before and really like the atmosphere. As a AC Milan player I might not get a very good reception but we will see.

Zanetti has said this is his last move in the transfer widowFlamini is a good player and he will add strength in depth but this will be my last move in the transfer window as I feel that this squad could get us into the Champion League and maybe even push for the title.

The results were very good apart from the game against Feyenoord but they are a good team and I put out a weakened team. I expected a good match at Dortmund but we blew them away with some fantastic football. Purugia most of my players did not turn up and we dominated them but our strikers could not score. We were lucky to win 2-1. we went to Bellaria and we dominated the match winning 2-0.

Piacenza came next and it was a good game and we played fantastic in the first half until one of our players got sent off. We went downhill and escaped with a draw. We went to Vise to end our training camp and did so in style beating them 4-0 and them not having a shot on target. Icardi also scored a hattrick. We played Roma to get a feel about how we would match up against the better sides in the division so we played Roma and we beat them 3-1 with Icardi hitting form at the right time.
Flamini is beyond useless so I am quite surprised that you decided to sign him as I can't see how he will strengthen your side in any way. I am hope I am proved wrong and he can contribute to your success. Good luck.
Jamesg237- Well I needed a DM and I he has good marking, tackling and positioning and in Pre Season he has looked good

Juan Jesus leaves Inter but Inter welcome Zouma

Inter Milan have handed Juan Jesus his dream move after the defender handed a transfer request on Monday morning. Kurt Zouma moves from London to Milan following his part exchange.

Juan Jesus has gone to Arsenal with a £13.5 million price tag. He is understood to have been fustrated at Inter Milan's rise in the football world following their plummet after winning the Champions league in 2010.

Zanetti said that the move had come at an uncomfortable time but that the move was the right one.

'Juan Jesus is a player that has a good future but we have no intention to keep players against their will. I wish him all the best in the future'

Kurt Zouma makes the move to Milan for a reported fee of £17.5 million and Yuto Nagatomo

Zouma makes the move from London to Milan but the fee may put a lot of pressure on him to succeed.

Zanetti has no such fears and he firmly believes that Zouma could be one of the world's best in a few years time.

'Kurt (Zouma) has a a bright future in the game and he already has the makings of a great defender. Yuto Nagatomo also wanted to go so we believed we could ude him to tempt Chelsea to accept our offer for Zouma.
Good start to the story, great choice of manager and club, you could do more with more descriptive writing though this one is well written, I will be following since we share the same nickname :)
