Redknapp steps down

http://i61.tinypic.com/2aa0h8w.jpg

QPR have released the following statement on their official site "We are sad to announce that Harry Redknapp has stepped down as manager of QPR. He feels that he is no longer up to the task due to personal issues but we will have a suitable replacement announced soon".

Harry Redknapp when asked said the following "I am sad that my time at QPR has come to an end but I have spoken to the board and the fans can expect a more than suitable manager to be announced in the coming days, that is all I can say for now".

We are all left wondering who will step up to take over as QPR boss with Glenn Hoddle being the favorite with Rio Ferdinand as a surprise candidate to take over. Whatever the outcome we will keep you up to date.
Good luck!
Good luck mate, should be interesting.

Keeping it in the family

Today, QPR have named their new manager, and it is none other than Harry Redknapps son. No not Jamie, Steve Redknapp. Not many of us new Harry had another son but it turns out he has another son who was from his first marriage and has been trying to get his coaching badges for over a year and once he finally did and this opportunity came about. Harry recommended him.

We will keep you update.
Interesting that Harry has raised someone with such different genes ;) Well done Harry, good update and it'll be good to see how Gerard Butler Steve Redknapp does!

So my first month in charge. It started with a board meeting where they told me that they want me to avoid relegation this season and start building some foundations for the future and seasons to come which is why I decided to make the man who I see as the future of this club, our best defender and a future England starter Steven Caulker our captain. I also made Sandro vice captain. Then in the board meeting they explained to me that I had around 17 million to spend and 300k wages which I thought was more than enough. They also said they want 'five guys' I assumed they meant the restaurant but I am not one hundred percent what they meant. So as I stepped into my office for the first time I had to evaluation the squad and unfortunately some players just couldn't make the cut so I listed quite a few trying to bring in some offers. Considering the age of most of them I didn't expect offers and we didn't get any so I had to work with what I got and not go too over-board. So I spent day in day out scouting players and league. I singlehandedly spent days scouting the whole of Brazil and the only player Brazilian player who wanted to join and was afford able was on a free. I even asked Harry for suggestions but if Harry had his way we may as well be called 'Tottenhan B'. With my scouting and looking to improve the squad it cost me. It cost me the chance to play my friendlies, I got my assistant manager to use my tactics and instructions and play the games and I would say it went well. It is nice to know I can count on good old Kev when I need to.

I didn't want too many difficult teams as I know how leaky our defense can be at times and how we are not the best of teams (yet). But overall a good month of results all wins and I would like to thank Charlie Austin for that. He was phenomenal and I look forward to watching him grow and play he got 7 goals in 7 games and an average rating of 7.85 which is very good.

Well I guess now that the pre-season is out of the way it is time to get down and dirty, it won't be easy following in the footsteps of my old man Harry but I guess it is the path I chose and I look forward to taking it. I guess I need to go prepare for the season ahead.
Hmm, you'd think Redknapp's kid would call his father "dad" and not Harry. :P

Pretty decent results in your friendlies, let's see if you can keep that defensive record up in the league. xD
@Justice Thanks mate
@BadW0lf Hopefully
@LFC Yh Geve Redknapp is a very different gene
@Arvind they are not the closest and Harry hasn't been there for him his whole life I can write an autobiography if you like?
This is looking great with an original choice of manager. And the pre-season was fantastic! Good luck!

The going gets good

Brilliant start to the season and one step closer to living up to the expectations left behind by my dad.
Even a win over a team I thought would destroy us 2-0 in Southampton I felt like that very handsome and talented
actor Gerard Butler when he takes down takes control in olympus has fallen. I am over the moon and to go undefeated
in my first month of management was amazing. I was also impressed with how the defense played I expected it to be leaky
but it wasn't I don't know if that was due to the tough training reigme I insisted on having or because they
weren't used properly before.

Transfers In

I was very impressed with my signings and I tried to balance my signings out between ones who will make an immediate
impact in Munir to ones who will be for the future like Mosquito. To only spend 10m and get the players I did
was a massive win for me.

Transfers Out
http://i57.tinypic.com/2lbgisl.png
Going out was just a few youngsters and a bit of deadwood. I didn't think Yun Suk-Young was good enough to play
for us and was happy with 2.5m for him and with Shaun Wright Phillips no one wanted him and in the end
his wages were just too much.

August player of the month

Luke Garbutt

3 games, 2 assists 8.10 average rating
