I'm sure once you improve technically you'll start to bag em in left and right ;)

Season 9

Catching Fire

My second season at FC Oss turned out to be an unbridled success.

Not only did I manage to stay fit for the entire season but I also managed to put together some good performances & even break club records!

My stellar displays on the pitch saw me dubbed "The wizard of Oss" by the locals & at home games my name was greeted by a chant of "Ossie, Ossie, Ossie! Oi! Oi! Oi!" whenever the team sheet was read out.

FC Oss also had a great year.

A 7th placed finish was the clubs highest ever league position & also qualified us for the promotion play-offs!

Unfortunately we were unable to produce any further shocks, getting knocked out in the 2nd round after breezing past Almere City in the 1st.

The home game against NEC also set a new record attendance mark.

Perhaps the expectation created by the record crowd was partly responsible for the poor performance which ultimately cost us our chances of promotion? Who knows!

On an interesting side note, this year was also a big year for my younger brother George, who is following in his big brothers footsteps it seems.

George moved to Sydney with the rest of the family when I was first signed from Tamworth. He was only 9 years old back then but always loved the game &, like me, hoped one day to make a career out of it.

I am so pleased that the Wanderers have given him the chance to make that dream a reality & look forward to following his career closely.

Who knows, maybe one day we will be on the same pitch representing our country!

Interesting, you finally managed to do a big one and break some records! and on the other hand your brother looks quite promising aswell :) This story is a hit :)

Yeah, its good to actually have some decent news to report & yes my brother does look quite good, am worried he will be better then me :P

Thank you very much for the compliment & your support mate, much appreciated!
Breakthrough season! Hopefully, if you can put in the same level of performance as this one just gone, even if you don't get promoted some Eredivise sides might look at you
Very good job! Totally immersive and keeps me coming back for more :D

A Growing Reputation

After spending the off-season back in Australia catching up with family, I arrived back in Oss amidst rumours I was on my way out the door.

Although flattered at being linked with clubs in both the Eredivisie & the Belgian Pro League, I wasn't keen to leave just yet.

I have grown to love both the city of Oss as well as the club & when a new contract was offered to me I was only to happy to put pen to paper & extend my stay.

Although I would like to play in a European top flight at some stage in my career I feel as though it is too early for me to leave just yet.

After going close to promotion last year I have not yet given up on playing in the Eredivisie with FC Oss!
You're 25 already man, get on with it lol. Get some Premier footy before you're 40! haha

Hahaha, IKR! Sometimes I wish I could just grab myself by the collar & say "Wake up to yourself man!"
Great season there and hopefully you can kick on next season and then maybe attract more interest.

Yeah, hopefully mate, as Icarus said, I'm no spring chicken any more! :P

Season 10

Still Going Strong

A year which marked a decade in professional football for me was also one of my most successful.

Not only did I manage to stay injury free once again, but I also put in some classy performances scoring a career best 6 goals & breaking my own club record for assists. Add to this 5 POM awards & an average rating of 7.23 & I think its fair to say it was a great year for me.

In the end I finished with 15 assists from 35 league appearances, not too shabby if I do say so myself!

My impressive performances for FC Oss also saw me called up for my full international debut in a world cup qualifier against Sri Lanka.

Although I don't recall too much of the game I believe I gave a good account of myself & am hopeful that there will be many more to come.

FC Oss also had another great year...

This time we finished 5th in the Jupiler league (another club record) but once again were knocked out of the promotion hunt in the second round.

These playoffs are proving to be quite difficult to get out of!

Although not noticing the improvement in my game I once did, I am approaching my prime as a footballer & feel as comfortable on the pitch as I ever have.

My performances now are not just good, they are consistently good which pleases me to no end.

Hopefully it wont be long before I am noticed by a bigger club & offered my first taste of top flight European football!

The assist record is a great feat to break into, it's too bad about the play offs though. I took a look at your stats and to be quite honest you don't deserve to be in the Jupiter League, you could easily be starting in Serie A / Ligue 1 teams.
A terrific season, like Icarus said you deserve to be in a top flight club. Keep fighting. 2026 World Cup is where it is at.
