Sunderland Relegation

Hi there i'm after advice on starting a new database with Sunderland in the Championship, I'm planning on binning all our greedy flops & starting with a team made up of our youth team & a few free transfers, as a think that will probably happen next season with our financial difficulties so would nort be suprised if we drop down again.
My problem is i've tried this once & my boards expectations were a minimum of promotion to the premiership, Totally unrealistic.
How can i change it to possibly allow for a relegation & the board to give me a lot of time to change things round.

I think possibly if you edit the club reputation and make it lower, similar to what a weak championship side has, then the expectations may be lowered to reflect that
