Presenter: Leeds United haven’t had much to shout about in the last decade or so, but is that all about to change? Jim White is at Elland Road for us this evening. Jim, what’s happened today?
White: Its good news if you want supporter input in football clubs Natalie, because the Official Leeds United Supporters Group has announced just moments ago that it has completed its takeover of the club. Russell Crowe is believed to have played a major role in financing the deal, and the club’s future is now firmly in the hands of those who love it so dearly.
They’ve wasted no time in making changes to the club, Irish coach Alex Crook has been appointed as their manager. The new owners have said that the Watford-born coach has worked with them for some time now, and his footballing philosophies are identical to the clubs. Popular figure Neil Redfearn will stay on as his assistant, and Steve Thompson will become a coach at the club.

In 2004, Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League. A team once featuring Rio Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler and Mark Viduka was soon relegated to the third division. The club were hit with a 15-point deduction, and featured star players such as Seb Carole and Rui Marques. After 4 fruitless years of Championship football, Leeds United’s future is now in its own hands.

Hey, good start but you can't host images from gyazo, you gotta save them and upload them first ^^
Fixed :) Thanks x2

First day on the job

8:30 am, manager’s office. I sat behind my desk, still unable to believe what was happening. There I was, manager of the team I dream of playing for. The team I sang for, but more recently, the team I cried for. It was up to me to get this great club back where it belongs. The nerves were unbearable, but the excitement was greater. I composed myself. Time to meet the team.

I walked out to the training pitch, where my assistant had gathered the players. “Right lads!” I said in an assertive tone. “First things first, congratulations. You all have the privilege of playing a part in the revival of this great football club. If you haven’t guessed who I am by now, best keep your mouth shut or you’ll washing that jeep over there tomorrow morning. I’m your new manager. I expect two things from each and everyone one of you. I don’t care if we paid a million pounds for you or a couple pennies for you. You break these rules, you pay the price. Number one. Respect. Respect for me, respect for the club, respect for the fans, respect for the staff. Number two. Work. Hard-work. This is a tough league, one of the toughest in the whole damn world. We’ll be sitting pretty at number 24 if we don’t work. I want to see high enough, lots of determination, a never-say-die attitude.” The silence was deafening. “Right, teams of eleven, 20 minutes a side. Neil, grab us a chair and a cuppa will ya? Lets see who here can play football.”

That afternoon, I held a meeting with the senior members of staff and a representative from the fan group about tactics. “Looking at our squad, we cannot play with any width. Realistically, I’ll need a couple million before I can do that. So, gentlemen, the question is, how do we success with a narrow formation?” To me, the answer was simple. “High energy, fast paced football. We look to push forward as much as possible. We put them under pressure when they have it, and move it quickly when we have it.” I looked around to see a room of approving faces. “It’s getting late and you all have work to do, we’ll meet first thing tomorrow morning to discuss a few transfers plans I have”. I asked a few members of staff to wait behind. I felt a lump in my throat. It was always going to be difficult to tell someone that their services were no longer required. “Please, take a seat…"

It's well written, but the centering on the body of text itself makes it a bit hard to read I think? might be just me though.
Interesting - good luck :D
Icarus: Thanks, i'll change it now :)

Good luck mate!

Press Conference

The first week consisted of meeting after meeting. I hate meetings. The press conference was a busy morning, and very noisy.
Reporter: Mr Crook, what makes you think you’re the right man for the job?

Crook: Listen, I’ve already done my job interview and have no intention of sitting through another. You give me three months here and you’ll have your answer.

Reporter: The fans will want to know your plans for transfers. What do you make of the current squad and how do you plan to improve it?

Crook: From what I’ve seen of the lads, I can tell they’re a hungry bunch. You can see on the training pitch that each and every one of them want to succeed. Transferwise, I’d like to watch the team in friendlies a few times before making any decision in that respect.

Reporter: It's fair to say that Leeds fans have been disappointed with performances in general, how will you address this?

Crook: I’m not willing to give too much away for obvious reasons, but I can promise that the team will play high energy and exciting football.

Reporter: One final question, how are the finances at the club with the new fan-ownership?

Crook: There’s enough money for progress to be made. Our youth set-up has a planned 2 million pound upgrade, and the junior sides have a nice budget increase.

Is there really enough money? :P I had a Leeds save and I could barely bring in the talent I wanted! haha, good update.
Icarus I've made about 1.5 million worth of signings, should be up in the next few days #FinancialGenius
Looking forward to seeing the new recruits mate and who you sold to get any cash perhaps lol.
The debut

The day had the finally come. My managerial debut. Pre-season went relatively well. We were as ready as we’d ever be.
“Listen up lads. We’ve had a good pre-season, but all of that means nothing if the work stops now. You’re all here today, that means as far as I’m concerned you have a future here. Marco (Silvestri), you’re in net. Sam (Byram) and Aidy (White), fullbacks. Lets see lots of energy today. I want to see you pushing up and helping to create some chances. ‘Seppe (Bellusci) and Liam (Cooper) centre backs. No nonsense today, get rid of the ball if there's any danger. Alex (Mowatt), Lewis (Cook) and Cpt Luke (Murphy) centre of the park. Same as pre-season, move it quickly, keep the ball, create changes for the forwards. Adryan, you’re in the hole today, let’s see lots of movement, it doesn’t matter how many times you get kicked or lose the ball, its the time you make it through that’ll make the difference. Mirco (Antenucci) and Billy (Sharp), this is your chance to become our main striker. This is your debut, play well and that position is yours next week.”
“Right lads! Lets get the three points today! Super Leeds!”

The half time whistle blew. Three one down. The players went down the tunnel. I stood at the edge of the pitch, gobsmacked. We dominated the fifteen, Luke grabbed a goal after eleven minutes. Then we stopped playing. The support went quiet, and the players looked like they were still in bed. After one half, I was starting to crumble. My lack of management experience was starting to show. No amount of coaching badges had prepared me for this.
I made my way down the tunnel, Rudy (Austin) met me outside the dressing room. He told me to wait outside. “I’ve lost the team already” I thought. But how wrong was I? The lads were fighting my corner. My captain and his deputy, Luke and Rudy, were tearing apart the lads. They were bigging me up, and humilating the lads. They all went out for the second half without a word to me. Rudy gave me a wink and a smile.

We scored two in second half, but lost 4-3. We hit the woodwork too many times, but it was promising. We ran them off the pitch, and the players seemed to be back in Camp Crook. This month would surely prove vital for my reign in charge of my beloved Leeds
