Wow, Milner scored on his debut :D
Glenn: I know! Haha, I was as surprised as you were :P
Note: I just wanted to mention that the fact that I have explained this story as starting with the season that will start this summer doesn't mean the same for the actual game. In game i have started at the start of last season which maybe to some can be quite confusing? Anyway I just wanted to clear that up before any confusion occurs in later updates. We'll just have to use our imagination and pretend everything that happened last year in real life is two seasons ago in game. Sorry for any confusion, lol!

Thank you :)
Great piece of writing so far, keep it up as I'm enjoying it!
Will be helpful as to how I read this :))
what logo pack you using mate?
great updates, and i'm loving the graphics, keep it up!
Best of luck, I like your update style - snappy, neat and emphasis on words rather than graphics
KTW: Thank you

Jack: What? :P

InfraRed: Thank you, it was actually Tallery that made them, I keep forgetting to credit him! I think it's smooth 15'

Feliks: Thank you, I try to keep as neat as possible! Glad you like :)
Really good start and amazing graphics keep it up

September Update

LIVERPOOL 3-1 SUNDERLAND (IBE, MILNER, CAN)
ATHLETIC BILBAO 0-1 LIVERPOOL (STURRIDGE)
LIVERPOOL 2-0 WEST HAM (INGS, FLANAGAN)
STOKE 0-1 LIVERPOOL (ORIGI)
TOTTENHAM 3-3 LIVERPOOL (STURRIDGE, STERLING, INGS)

Liverpool were off to a flyer in the month of August with seven points from a possible nine, dropping points only Manchester United who were lucky to hold the game to a 1-1 draw. They didn't take long to kick there way back into form after a quick break either, when they took on Sunderland back at Anfield.

Jordan Ibe was one player who impressed last month as he won the game against Norwich and very nearly took all three points against Manchester United. He was just as good this month too - Proving that by netting against the Black Cats in just the first minute!

After assisting young Jordan Ibe, James Milner was receiving his rewards as Sterling was able to slip in a tidy killer ball which opened up the Sunderland back line. Milner only had to be accurate with his finish which he was. The Reds were now two goals to the good.

Late on Connor Wickham gave Sunderland a glimmer of hope by making the score now 2-1 with a top effort from just outside the box, bending it around Mignolet leaving him for dead only to watch the ball nestle in the top right corner.

All remaining hopes were gone a minute later though when Emre Can fired a fierce shot into the near top corner from the left side. Another victory for Rodgers' side. Things had started well, could they remain consistent?

The Premier League wasn't to be the only thing on this months Calendar, Athletic Bilbao would be hosting the likes of Sterling and Coutinho in Europa League as would Stoke City in the Capital One Cup.

There wouldn't be much to tell in this one if it wasn't for another dominant performance from Liverpool who ended up as the 1-0 victors. Daniel Sturridge scored the winning goal in this one as early as the 21st minute, but could have had so many more after so much chance production from star man Raheem Sterling who came close himself in the 70th minute.

Danny Ings also got his first taste of European Football, although he didn't score he did play very well and will remember the match for a long time. Divock Origi was also handed his first European Appearance for his new club.

Another Premier League game at Anfield would have the Hammers arrive looking to bring confidence to the ground but they were simply futile to Liverpool's efforts in the final third. After starting in the last game Danny Ings was thrown straight in to the starting line up and was able to make his mark by Scoring a wonderful finish from Adam Lallana's wonderful architecture.

Surprisingly, Jon Flanagan was getting in amongst the goals by leaving his markers for dead, bursting into the box and latching on to a high cross from Lallana. He was only a yard out and had little to do when there, but he did fantastically to get into position. Good awareness from the young right back.

West Ham were drowned in attacking football from Liverpool who ran out 2-0 winners. For the entire second half they just couldn't score again, but it was 13 points and they wouldn't care one bit.

Last seasons 6-1 thrashing would probably be in the back of the minds of every Red for this one but so far they seemed to be putting last season behind them and were leaving the past behind but would the Brittannia prove to be to much of a challenge on a cold, wet (Literally) Wednesday night in Stoke?

The answer to that one? Quite simply no. Although not the dominant force they had been in the last few games, Liverpool were still showing they are the side they're aspiring to be though there was much to be desired in the finishing department.

...That was until Divock Origi stepped onto the pitch for a misfiring Daniel Sturridge. The second half was still goalless but a cross whipped in from deep by Manquillo was on point for the head of the Belgian striker but from out of no where he took lift off and unleashed a heat seeking missile from a glorious overhead kick which struck the underside of the cross bar and nearly ripped the net.

The next round of the Capital One Cup awaited the Reds who would now have to go and play Bristol City, however the six injuries suffered to Stoke could prove costly in the next few games.

A bitter taste would be left in Rodgers at the end of the next game in the league against Spurs. A team they did the double over last year in the league. It was all going swimmingly well for them as Sturridge drove a sweet strike into the right side of the net from 20 yards out.

The 1-0 score line would get better later on in the first half when Sterling was picked out in the box by Sturridge. The right winger was just able to bend the ball around Hugo Lloris and into the bottom right corner.

The game went on with a long barren spell in the middle and of course it was inevitable that Harry Kane would make his mark on the game late in the 70th minute with a placed shot after beating Flanagan, and Skrtel to find space.

It looked as though Tottenham were dead and buried when Ings scored a third against the team who were once in a hot pursuit for his signature. Erik Lamella fired home only three minutes later and with time Still on the clock, Harry Kane scored again and equalized for the London club. Rodger's certainly would not be happy with his defense.

Player of the Month - Daniel Sturridge

Sturridge was fantastic this month. He scored a good few goals including the winner in an important first match in the Europa League against Athletic Bilbao. Just like last month this could have gone to a number of players - For example: Sterling and Danny Ings. But I think an award this month for Sturridge is just.

Thoughts on the Report

Rodgers: Another good month for us. Some solid, dominant performances and a lot of goals scored. I feel a point at White Hart Lane is good but really we should have one and to lose three points so late annoyed me very much, and I had serious words for our back line.

Overall though, like I said it was good but I'm still not sure how we've dropped one place in the league. Other teams are doing just as well as us, and for the to happen is frustrating because I feel like so far we've been a lot better than the likes of Chelsea who are first place. But props to them for making their chances count!

Great update, get that back four told. I love the way you write it leaves everything to the imagination. I can imagine Origi's overhead kick now and the crowd going wild. Keep it up :)

''Good, but not good enough''

We've seen a rather smooth start from Liverpool this season in all competitions which is certainly a factor that will aid Brendan Rodgers in keeping his job for even longer. They've had some very good results and currently sit in 5th place, six games in only four points between leaders Chelsea who have so far been victorious in every game.

A win in both their Capital One Cup and Europa League openers sees Liverpool in a good light for the remainder of either competition while a good start to the Premier League season puts them down as a top 4 contender for sure.

Though...One Liverpool player (and possibly the rest) is not happy enough with how him and his teammates have started and will be looking for the side to build on their good start as they look to pursue their ambitions of Champions League qualification.

Speaking with SkySports News, Martin Skrtel explained his ambition of Champions League football and how he believes the team can do better than they have been.

Skrtel: ''It's been a solid start I agree with what people are saying. Certainly better than last years. Although I think we're a lot better. We're a good side as we've been proving, and we're a unit. We like to think of ourselves as a big family and that has helped us so far this year.

''There's no reason we can't do better though. We want Champions League next year and we need to start performing against the bigger sides. We'd be first if we'd have taken our chances against Spurs and United. We did play brilliantly in both but defensively in the Spurs game we were not towards the end, and we really could have been a lot better in attack against United.

We need to be better against the bigger teams, it's as simple as that. There use to be a time where we'd fold under the pressure of smaller teams and thrive on it against the bigger. Of course that's no good either but what I'm saying is that we must learn to use the pressure of an occasion to our advantage. Then we'll see a huge difference in ourselves on and off the pitch for the better.''

Skrtel certainly isn't wrong, in the first six games of the season the teams considered 'smaller' - and no disrespect - have all collapsed under the attacking threat of the Reds. The likes of Spurs and United who could be considered bigger sides have managed to hold on.

Will we see an improvement after Skrtel's words? We'll have to wait another month or so to find out, but when Liverpool eventually do come up against Manchester City in November, we should then discover how much they've changed in a short period of time.
The detail in every one of your updates is ridiculous!

Brilliant writing. I'll be following!
Still early days, remain unbeaten though and top 4 is certainly a likelihood!
Good update mate :)
