BREAKING: Nigel Pearson, who was sacked only a week ago from Leicester City, signed on one-year contract with VFB Stuttgart.

Nigel Pearson isn't wasting time. The 51-years-old who was sacked by Leicester City because of "bad relationships with the board" landed in Flughafen Airport in Stuttgart yesterday and signed on his new contract with VfB Stuttgart sporting director Robin Dutt. He will be presented today as VfB Stuttgart new head coach in a special press conference at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

VfB Stuttgart didn't mentioned in their official announcement yesterday Nigel Pearson’ period of contract and salary, but the 51-years-old who known for his aggressive press conference comments signed on one-year contract with extension option and he’ll earn €1.5M for this year, according to Sky Sports source. Pearson and his wife will resident in an villa located near the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

This is will be Pearson first managerial job away from England. Pearson has an extensive experience as a head coach. He coached Southampton, Hull City, Carlisle United, Newcastle and Leicester City by the years.

Pearson refused to gave words to the German journalists who waited for him at Flughafen Airport and the eye-witnesses who was in the airport says he seemed furious as always. However, he will hold a press conference with VfB Stuttgart sporting director and president Robin Dutt and Bernd Wahler tomorrow.

Pearson's appointment received mixed reviews from VfB Stuttgart fans. Some of them said it is great appointment of an English head coach who can bring his acknowledge of football to their team, but the other part of the fans said he failed in Leicester City and they've expected from VfB Stuttgart board to hire more successful head coach for their team.

Nigel Pearson gave some bombing statements in his first press conference in Mercedes-Benz Arena, where he was presented as new head coach of VfB Stuttgart.

Nigel Person first press conference as VfB Stuttgart was held today at Mercedes-Benz Arena. Pearson, 51, presented as the new coach of Die Roten after signing on a one-year contract yesterday. The press room at Mercedes-Benz Arena was full while Pearson gave some bombing statements like "I'll lead Stuttgart to it's glory days" and more.

Here's what Pearson said: "I am very happy to be here in Stuttgart. This is beautiful city with great peoples and it's my pleasure to be the head coach of such a team with great history like VfB Stuttgart. In the recent years this team is less successful, and I'm agree it's very hard to take a club from the bottom and to try turn this club to top club in a year. I'm not dreaming. I'm not heading to Champions League title in a year or to win Bundesliga this season, I'm only want to success here"

"I know last year in Leicester wasn't successful. VfB Stuttgart decided to take a risk and hire me, and I'm saying risk because I almost relegated with Leicester. But I'm ready to show VfB Stuttgart board, players and fans that this risk will be successful"

Sporting director Rubin Dutt: "After last year here in Stuttgart we've learned from our errors and now we're more experienced. We decided to give our trust to another coach, Nigel, who I think suits VfB Stuttgart well. As Nigel said before, we all know that the risk we took will be successful after this season. We have young but good team and now we'll start to prepare for 2014-15 season"

After his press conference, Nigel Pearson caught walking in Mercedes-Benz Arena pitch, checking the bench and the stadium that will be his home in the coming season.

VFB Stuttgart starting preseason trainings



Die Roten and their new head coach Nigel Pearson started preseason trainings after a long way to Salzburg, Austria. They will play eight friendly games as preparation for 2014-15 season.

VFB Stuttgart squad and staff (32 peoples) have arrived in Salzburg and opened their preseason trainings, to get back in fitness ahead of 2014-15 season. The new head coach Nigel Pearson met the players for the first time and Bild source reports he told them he will sign high-profile name in the coming future.

The first training of the season started with bicycle session, then the squad played some passes & shots drills. Some of VFB Stuttgart fans who followed their team to Salzburg was lucky to take some 'selfies' and get autographs of their players after the training.

Tunisian 30-years-old defender Karim Haggui and Tobias Rathgeb didn't come with VFB Stuttgart to Austria, maybe as a hint they're not in Pearson' plans for the next season.

Germany international Antonio Rüdiger said after the training session: "I'm happy to be here and start another season with Stuttgart. It's an honour for me to play for this team. I met coach Pearson and I saw a very experienced head coach who knows everybody pros & cons in this team. I'm happy to work with him and waiting for wonderful season"



BREAKING: VFB Stuttgart sporting director Robin Dutt is in Brussels to meet Zakaria Bakkali's agent.

After a very hard season last year, VFB Stuttgart wants to strengthen the squad and according to the rumors, Stuttgart is gonna be a big factor in the coming transfer window. It it also might be the most interesting transfer window in the last years, after some high-profile players found themselves without contract for the coming season.

First of all, Sky Sports reports that VFB Stuttgart sporting director Robin Dutt landed in Belgian capital Brussels yesterday to meet former PSV and current Belgium NT winger Zakaria Bakkali's agent. It is an amazing news for VFB Stuttgart fans, as Bakkali is a free agent chased by giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Chelsea and even more. According to the report, Dutt will offer Bakkali a four-year contract with €46.5M release clause.

Sweden U21 striker John Guidetti who released from Man City last summer has joined VFB Stuttgart's training camp in Austria and he will be in trial for a week. If he will impress Stuttgart staff, maybe he will be awarded with a contract with the Bundesliga side.

Stuttgart head coach Nigel Pearson wants to sign good left-back for his starting XI and he's made his decision on the identity of this left-back, according to Daily Mail. VFB Stuttgart made an official loan offer for Everton on left-back Bryan Oviedo, with a buy-out option at the end of the loan deal.

The Germans are waiting for Everton response, while they are also looking for another left-backs if this deal will be failed. One of the names in their shortlist is Nigerian international Taye Taiwo.

Karim Haggui is not in Nigel Pearson's plans for 2014-15. It made clear for the Tunisian yesterday morning, when he called to Pearson office and heard he's not coming with the team to training camp at Salzburg. Haggui is expected to leave Stuttgart after only six games he played last year since arrived in January, scored one goal. Vitesse (Netherlands) already sent an official letter to VFB Stuttgart, asking how much it will cost them to sign Tunisia international.

According to BILD, VFB Stuttgart will not allow Haggui to leave for less than €275K, after bought him last January for €500K from Hannover.

AS Monaco representatives will scout VFB Stuttgart's right-winger Martin Harnik after the Austrian gave great season in 2013-14, scoring 10 goals in 30 games from the wing. The French side head coach Leonardo Jardim very wants to see Harnik playing in Stade Louis II next season.

Not rumor, OFFICIAL: Greek wonderkid Georgios Spanoudakis is officially signed a four-year deal with VFB Stuttgart. Great signing for the future. He will play for Stuttgart B, the second team of Die Roten.
