"We Can Improve," Says Pardew

Crystal Palace boss, Alan Pardew has said in a press conference today, "We can improve." Pardew, who joined Palace in January last season after leaving Newcastle and managed to lead the club to a 10th place finish made the comments ahead of a pre-season friendly against Dungannon and went onto say, "It was a fantastic season for the club but we always have to look to become better. We have to strive on doing the best we can every single year and personally, we can do it."

Pardew has an incredible record so far at Palace after winning 12 of his 21 games in charge of the Eagles and fans are excited at what the future holds for the club too, one fan said, "I'm confident. Alan has done a fantastic job, taking us to 10th was a brilliant achievement and I think he can do better. I think, with the right signings, we can challenge for the Europa League, why not? We have a lot of young talent on show at the moment, Zaha and Bolasie for example, I can see us going far."

Pardew also announced that he has tied keeper, Julián Speroni to a new 2-year-deal. Speroni, who has been at the club since 2004, was a vital part to the success of last term and has said he is "delighted" to be able to stay at the club. Pardew then commented on the matter saying, "I'm very happy to be able to keep a player like Julián at the club, he is a fantastic goalkeeper and probably one of the best in the Premier League, he is doing brilliant and I'm glad he is willing to stay here, it's brilliant news."

Palace Sign French International, Yohan Cabaye

Crystal Palace have signed Yohan Cabaye from French champions Paris St-Germain for a club-record transfer fee of £10m today after he completed a medical. Palace began talks with the player last week and have said that the talks went "perfectly" and were "Very successful."

Cabaye, 29, joined PSG from Newcastle for £19m in January 2014 but started just 13 matches as Laurent Blanc's side won a domestic Treble last season and has said that he is "thrilled to be given a opportunity again," and went onto say, "I hope this can get my back to where I want to be, playing my very best and playing for my home country at Euro 2016 too. I'm thrilled to be working with the gaffer again because he did a lot for me while I was at Newcastle."

As Cabaye said, Palace manager Alan Pardew signed Cabaye from Lille in 2011 during his time as Newcastle boss, with the France international going on to score 18 goals in 93 appearances for the Magpies and Pardew said this during a unveiling, "This is brilliant for the club because Yohan is a very gifted player and as he shown at Newcastle, he is one of the best midfielders in the league and I know he could do great things here at Palace. I was rather upset to see him left to waste at PSG in the end, it was rather unfortunate that the trio (Matuidi, Veretti and Thiago Motta) were in sensational form and he wasn't given the chance to show what he can do."

Crystal Palace have also agreed a deal with River Plate for Columbian centre-back, Eder Alvarez Balanta after Palace's £8M offer was accepted by the Argentinian club.
Smooth writing. Good stuff!
If you get Balanta that's your defense sorted for the next decade or so :P

Thank You!

Thank you all so much for the amazing comments, but I feel as though I can't continue writing this, I wasn't enjoying Palace towards the end of the season and because of this I don't feel the urge to write on this. I will be starting a story very soon so I hope the amount of support I've had on this story continues on the next one because it has really touched me, it really has. So thank you all so much because I am really enjoying interacting with all of you on this site as you are all wonderful people. So thanks so much again and hopefully you can read my new story :)
