Manchester Derby Preview
One of the most infamous derbies in English football, the Manchester Derby has become one of the most captivating in world football in recent years. From Law's backheel, to the shock 5-1 mauling by City in 1989, Rooney's overhead kick, the Ronaldo penalty to win the Red Devils the title in 2007, the infamous 6-1 at Old Trafford and Van Persie's free kick. It has summoned up some of the most topsy turvy, shocking and exciting games in the recent Premier League era.

Form
Going into this game both sets of fans will be desperate for a victory, which could be crucial at this stage. Going into the game City are leading United, as well as Chelsea, by three points. The champions recently surrendered their 100% league record in a 4-3 away loss to Southampton at the St. Mary's Stadium, meaning that United are the only club to remain undefeated, with Tottenham Hotspurs losing to the Red Devils 3-1 at Old Trafford and Chelsea losing to both Manchester City and Arsenal 1-0.

City's early season form has been scintillating, they've scored goals for fun and look solid enough defensively, Sergio Aguero has been a major reason for this. The Argentina hitman has already scored fifteen league goals with four assists.
After a slow start under Louis van Gaal United have picked up the pace dramatically. They haven't scored a massive amount, but their defence has been extremely tough to crack. David de Gea and Marcos Rojo have been brilliant so far as well as midfielders Daley Blind and Juan Mata.

Danger Men
Undoubtedly the danger man for City is Sergio Aguero, he's started the season like a house on fire and has already scored more goal in the league than he did in the whole of 2012/13. His partnership with Marco Reus has been deadly and instant, coupled with Raheem Sterling, David Silva and Yaya Toure means that United will have their biggest test defensively this season.

With players like Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Ander Hererra and Angel Di Maria it's difficult to choose one standout player for United. Rooney is the obvious choice, since he signed for United in 2004 for 30 million pounds he's become a symbol of Manchester United, their captain, their talisman. Other than Rooney there's Juan Mata who joined just under a year ago, he's become the vocal point of most United attacks this season and will likely be the man City most want to stop.

Team News
Pablo Zabaleta is of course out of this clash as he is any for a long while after suffering a lowe leg break late in pre season, he will return in March or April at the earliest. Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure should pass fitness checks after minute worry as to whether they would be ready in time, and Eliaquim Mangala has completed his three match domestic ban after his sending off against West Brom. City's main cause of concern is toward David Silva, with the Spanish magician hoping to fight off a knee injury in time to start, but it looks unlikely that he'll be able to recover in time.

Radamel Falcao is out for the clash, an ankle problem keeps him out, Robin Van Persie should pass a late fitness test to start on the bench at least. Other than that it's a fully fit squad to choose from for Louis van Gaal.
Predicted Line Ups
With the pace at which United have counter attacked this season, it is likely that Eliaquim Mangala will start ahead of Martin Demichelis to combat this. Angelino has impressed from right back, but surely Laska wouldn't start him for the derby, against United? The midfield should stay largely the same with the exception of David Silva who is almost certainly out, in his place we believe Frank Lampard will start instead of Wilfried Bony. Who will likely make an impact as a sub if City need his physical capabilities.

United should start with their usually narrow 4-3-1-2 with a rather defensive midfield to set them up for counter attacks. Robin Van Persie will probably start from the bench, opening the door for youngster James Wilson to potentially make himself a hero as he is United's only fit striker along with Wayne Rooney. Expect the ball to go to Juan Mata a lot as he feeds Rooney and Wilson with plenty of chances to score.

Prediction
City probably edge it in form and quality, but we think that United's home advantage will earn them a 1-1 draw. We expect Aguero to score first, then Juan Mata to equalise late on.
Prediction: Manchester United 1-1 Manchester City
