error when loading

i have unticked compressed save file from prefrences and confirmed, i have used genie since 2008 so i knew to do that anyway. i extract and open the exe file from the folder. it opens up, i click load. it starts to load the managers, stadiums with the green loading bar at the bottom but when it gets o loading players it just stops, and comes up with this error,

file position: 101699318
database version: 1356
data file seems to be corrupt. wanted to read 537004040 bytes, could only read 86612496 bytes
i have tried loading a couple of times exact same error every time.

there is a bug, i cant load either. its a bug that will probably fixed later on. upload the "dmp" files, that will help genie to fix the bugs.

new threads about the same problem will be deleted.

the file should be created automatically after the error in the map where the ".exe" is.

and i wasnt saying about your thread, i wrote that down for other users, because there were 2 other threads created which i deleted. so dont worry

I'm not having any errors but it does freeze about 1/2 way through the load process.

Same problem here - database 1356 error. Aargh - was DYING to get stuck in! Long live Eugene!!!

it may sound like a stupid question,but,did you save the game once again after you unchecked 'Compress Save Games'? i had the same problem as you have,and Genie worked after i saved my game with 'Compress Saves Games' unchecked

Guys, I didn't say anything about dump files. I'm more interested in the save games with the problems. A screenshot of the error message would do just fine.

okay I have solved my problem...I read on this forum that selecting scottish leagues when trying to start a game is the problem.....i started a new game minus the scottish leagues and voila...the scout works.....Thanks a lot to Eugene for this tremendous code....its just as addictive as the game.....and a special thanks to the admins of this forum... you guys are doing a great job....FM 2010 rocks....
