Watford Football Club have enjoyed a somewhat meteoric rise of late, thanks largely to their top class youth intake and facilities team. But is the Premier League a bridge too far for the small club from Hertfordshire?
Watford Football Club have enjoyed a meteoric rise of late, thanks largely to their top class youth development system, but can they reach the Premier League? New manager, John Williamson thinks so.
The Hornets have hired a new manager as they get set to kick of their campaign in the Npower Championship. Chairman Gino Pozzo has made it clear that promotion is the goal of the campaign and the signing of Williamson is his way of making sure they achieve it. "We were very thankful for the service of Slaviša [Jokanovi?], but we felt that moving forward, we needed a manager who was going to be able to give us that next step up. We are confident that John Williamson is that man."
Williamson himself has yet to speak to the press, but a conference is scheduled for later this week at Vicerage Road.
