Hey, I've been playing Football Manager for a while now (since FM13) but one I thing I can't seem to get over is the player ratings system. I came from a game with a global ratings system not influenced by the staff's ability to judge players (FIFA Manager).
FM offers a Star Rating system but these stars depends on the ratings of other players and the ability of staff to tell how good the player is. I'm just more accustomed to a player rating in numbers (67, 78, 81, 94, etc.).
Is there a surefire and accurate way to calculate a player's ratings to a numerical system?
Do you have tips to help me determine how good a player is?
I try to use FM Genie Scout but I don't think they are totally accurate. For instance, Genie Scout will say the player is great, 75+, but in game, the player was given two stars. I'm thinking someone who is 75+ should at least be a three star person or whatever.
I do understand what the system tries to achieve. It allows you to determine good players in lower level leagues but I don't do lower league management.
