Another Europa League win, another Nacer Chadli goal! The Belgian converted after five minutes to give us the lead in Liege, before Mohammadou Idrissou was allowed to score a much too easy close range finish. before Wilfried Bony pounced on a weak backpass to score the winner just before the half hour.

A dramatic, and memorable derby victory against West Ham at the Boleyn Ground. With nine minutes left on the clock we were cruising thanks to Wilfried Bony's header and a Domenico Berardi penalty. But after two goals in seven minutes from Manuel Lanzini, the first a smart finish from an Andy Carroll flick on, the second a delicate flick past Hugo Lloris after a brilliant counter attacking move. And just when I thought we'd thrown away a crucial three points, Nabil Bentaleb rose highest to plant home a bullet header from a superb Heung Min Son free kick.

This was a much more difficult game than it had to be. Our profligance meant that it was only after Charlie Austin scored a simple tap in with five minutes to go that we could relax. And that we did, allowing Odion Ighalo to race past Kevin Wimmer and Eric Dier and pull a goal back for the Hornets. Food for thought, with another late goal conceded it will be something that we need to rectify.

Becoming a theme this isn't it? ;) Nacer Chadli scoring in his third successive Europa League game as smashed Braga 3-0. The first two were headers, the third was a brilliantly timed run by Charlie Austin who slotted home to complete a wonderful night at White Hart Lane.

Our biggest win of the season so far. With a fantastic team performance at the Vitality Stadium, an eight minute blitz was the real killer for Bournemouth. With the pick of the goals a stunning turn and shot from Ryan Mason on the edge of the 18-yeard-box.

We progressed to the quarter-final of the League Cup courtesy of a wonderful drive by Heung Min Son through the legs of Julian Speroni and a side footed volley by Nacer Chadli. As we ended October on a high.

Player of The Month

http://the18.com/sites/default/files/article-img/Wilfried_Bony_Signs_Manchester_City.jpg

Having scored in all but one of his games in October, he was an unused substitute for the Braga game and came off the bench against Crystal Palace. If he can keep up this form then he should easily justify his £29,500,000 fee.

League Standing

We ended October with a game in hand over our rivals as we rose to 3rd in the table, two points ahead of Arsenal. If we can beat Norwich at home on November 1st then we will rise to the summit, looking further down the league we can see Manchester United improving as they climbed up to 5th but Liverpool are still yet to get going. With Newcastle and Bournemouth seemingly locked to the bottom of the table on four points.

White Hart Lane return for Kane

Tottenham Hotspurs Vs Manchester United; Match Preview

With just three goals in eleven appearances Harry Kane's £40,000,000 Manchester United move has not quite gone to plan. The England international has failed to find his feet in Louis van Gaal's 'philosophy' and looks like the latest in Manchester United's flop signings in recent years.

Spurs are coming off the back of a 2-0 away win at the KP Stadium over Leicester, courtesy of a Domenico Berardi brace, and with nine wins in a row the hosts are in red hot form for this huge clash.

Form

As forementioned Spurs are on a run of nine consecutive wins in all competitions, the highlights undoubtebly the 5-1 drubbing of Bourenmouth and the 4-1 hammering of Norwich thanks to a four goal haul from Charlie Austin. The goals are flowing in Jones' team with Domenico Berardi and Charlie Austin both showing their prowess in front of goal, but the underlining factor of the goals being leaked late in games by the defence means that they will have to concentrate harder than in recent games.

For The Red Devils the form has been patchy, but with four wins in their last five games things look to be on the up. After a lot of big wins at the start of the season, including a 4-0 win over Southampton, the goals have started to dry up. Having not scored more than two in the league since the beginning of October, United need to step up their goalscoring abilities if they are to climb up the table.

Team News

For Spurs Kyle Walker is still out with his broken pelvis he sustained toward the end of Pre Season, Moussa Dembele is out with a strained wrist and Ryan Mason has also been ruled out of the game with a back strain. Kieran Trippier is doubtful after a groin strain in the win over Leicester.

New signing Kieran Trippier is expected to miss out with a groin problem.

United have no injury concerns other than captain Wayne Rooney, who looks set to miss out on the game after a head injury in their 4-0 win over Bournemouth. There are late fitness concerns over Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera. But both are expected to pass and be available for the bench at least.

United captain Rooney isn't expected to recover in time from his injury.

Danger Men

For Spurs Domenico Berardi has been in flying form, with seven goals and three assists the record signing for the Lilywhites has shown he can pay back his huge fee. His pace and direct style could be key against United's slow, and often lethargic midfield. The midfield trio of Sven Bender, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli combine pace, power and agression to devastating effect expect them to take the game to United with their high energy style. Charlie Austin and Wilfried Bony have both shown quality and can pose a threat with their pace, power and aerial ability will attempt to unsettle Chis Smalling and Marcos Rojo.

Berardi has been in brilliant form since his bank busting summer move.

Of course Manchester United will look to Dutch flying winger Memphis, a player who can make something out of nothing. His battle with Eric Dier will certainly be interesting to watch. Expect Juan Mata to pull the strings in midfield, the Spaniard has the ability to unlock any defence. Couple that with his tremendous work rate and you get a world class playmaker who will work to win the ball back when not in possession. And of course, whenever you talk about key Manchester United players, the name David de Gea inevitably crops up, his rise from gangly teen who flapped at crosses to world class shot stopper who can make any kind of save he could easily win this game for United.

Mata can unlock any defence.

Predicted Line Ups

In goal Hugo Lloris will almost certainly start, with Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose most likely making up the back four. In midfield Sven Bender, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli should make up the midfield trio, but Nabil Bentaleb may make the cut. On the wings Heung Min Son and Domenico Berardi are the almost guarenteed starters. The main striker is a shoot out between Charlie Austin and Wilfried Bony, for big game experience Bony should start.

For United David de Gea will likely be the starter in goal. With a back four of new signing from Mario Fernandes, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw. In central midfield Morgan Schneiderlin should edge out Michael Carrick to partner Bastian Schweinstieger. The trio behind the main striker will likely be made up of Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Memphis.

Prediction

Given recent form and home advantage we're predicting Spurs to win a narrow game 1-0.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Manchester United

End of the story?

Should I end this story?

I'm falling out of love with what I thought would be a good story that people would enjoy. I'm wondering if anyone actually reads my story, and cares if I update.
You've replaced Harry Kane with Bony. That alone has put off any Spurs fans from reading this. BTW, it's Tottenham Hotspurs, without the s.

Should I end this story?

I understand that when we're sharing a story in public, its continuation can be fueled by the feedback received. But as I always say, if you're writing a story, first and foremost you should do it for yourself and not for those who might engage with it.

If writing a story for yourself is not a sustainable motivator, then I guess it makes sense to end it. At the end of the day, you should do what makes you happy.
