Importance of the pressure attribute

Just a general question.

How important is the pressure attribute in the overall player potential calculations?
I like most of my star players to be able to withstand high pressure situations and come out on top.
Does it work in combination with Consistency and Imp matches attributes?

I don't think it plays any important role as far as potential calculations are concerned. However, low pressure attribute means unhappy player in high pressure situations, such as a team exceeding expectations and/or big teams wanting that player.
