Introduction

June 2015 in a bar somewhere in Mechelen, Belgium

A group of friends decided between some beers to set up an own football club. But even with all the good intentions the Belgian Football Association didn’t want to give them a license to start.

Yet they wouldn’t throw in the towel . There must be a place in Europe where they could go and make their dream a reality. After wanderings in France , Netherlands , Germany, Spain , Luxembourg and they came back with empty hands. Their dream was already over before it all well begun.

Until unexpectedly a letter came in from the English Football Association who had picked up our story and invited us for a meeting . What could we expect from this meeting ? Would we succeed this time? Many questions but very few answers.

A week later we were in the waiting room of the English Football Association. Impatiently . After an hour speaking with the union president we came up with a great big smile and happy again outside . They were interested in our project and they were willing to give us a chance under some conditions .

So we had to , though this was rather an immense advantage , use the properties of the defunct Curzon Ashton. They so believed in our project and because we agreed to concentrate on young footballers we got a budget of 122K available to attract a base team.
After this incredible news, we started a race against time. We had a few weeks to put a decent team on its feet before would start the new season.

After this incredible news, we started a race against time. We had a few weeks to put a decent team on its feet before would start the new season.

Start at the beginning of course . We dipped our team under the name VK Janneke & Mieke , main colors would be rose and our second color blue. We also renamed the stadium to " The Pink Arena" . The logo was presented to the press.

It was officially on July 1, 2015 , we were a semi-pro club in Varanama North. Now it was time to look for players who believe in our project and wanted to belong here .
The news spread like wildfire . We received applications within 100s . Both players and coaching staff. It would be long days lying in the prosperity, but this success we had not expected.

Note

This is my first ever story for Football Manager. Sorry for my bad english and bad structure, still getting the hang of this ^^. I hope you'll enjoy reading this.
Interesting idea, good luck!

Intake days

After all the applications we received we planned several days to take a look at those players. Lots of players did very well and we could use every one of them. But due to low budgets we only attracted 24 to start with.

Even some old friends from Belgium came to see how this project was going on. We managed to get some of them aboard to help us out in that first season.

The squad looks like this at the moment:

nice idea ;)
