Here I am now!

28-05-2015

A while has past now, since I've retired from football and I did a lot of things with my family, travled around the world, read loads of books and I did a lot of work for homeless animals in my hometown, because animals are my favourite passion.

The only question I couldn't answer in my free time is, what should I do with myself now?
I love the things I've done over the last time and now I'm asking myself isn't there anything else left for me?
I really want to do something in the football business and I want to work again, I just can't wait to go again and show everyone, that I can do more.

I will dip my feet back into the football business, that's for sure!
A load of work is ahead of me, loads of studying, loads of time will be spend on the phone calling old friends who still are in the football business.

I signed up for a coaching class and want to get my first coaching licence.
A first step back into the football business and for me to get a new passion, a new job.

A surprising phone call from an old friend of mine seems to give me a real chance to get back into the football business and in a few days I will be having a meeting with the board of my old club and I wonder what they want from me.
Nice start, Timo
thanks sooru

My family always supports me!

Two days ago I got a phone call that I'm going to have an meeting at a club who is considering me to take over as their new Manager, well I guess it shouldn't happen.
As I was on my way to the ground of Unio Esportivo Cornella, i already had a bad feeling about this and I wasn't sure if I'm ready to become a Manager.
The training ground and the facilities looked decent for a third League team, they have a small stadium with only 1.500 seats.
So I wanted to head into the boarding room, as there was the meeting I was about to attend, but I wasn't allowed to enter the clubs facilities and I asked myself "what is going on here?" and "What are they doing with me?"
A club official was heading towards me, finally the meeting could start, when he brings me into the meeting room.

"You should leave now"! What is going on here, I'm honestly shocked!
The club official now told me that I never had a meeting and that someone made a joke with me.
He guided me to the exit of the training ground and wished me a good day.
I was so fed up and wanted to go home and just don't think about this day anymore.

Vanesa, my lovely wife, tried everything to make my day from then on. We went with our little daughter for a walk, played with our animals and football hadn't crossed my mind until I went to bed.
I couldn't sleep at all this night, "why do old friends do that?" was the main tought that night.
she's a bit old :D
I wouldn't consider her old, she's not even 40 years old! :D

Becoming a youth coach would be great!

A few days have past since my, well I call it "Non-Meeting", because technically I hadn't had a meeting, and I'm still a little bit dissapointed about that matter and want to go out to see some youth football.
Kids still enjoy football the most and that's what really matters.
So I headed out to a local football club and watched some kids enjoy what I enjoyed almost 30 years!
I remember back when I played my first game, I was 7 years old and never thought that I could achieve all the things I've done with all the teammates I ever played with.
The Game was all that mattered to me and this feeling really is missing in the business and that is so wrong!

I almost was on my way back home, when I heard a well-known voice.
"Capi, what are you doing here? Haven't seen you in a while now."
It was a former Teammate of mine!
"Albert, good to see you! I'm just enjoying some football, but how about you, what are you doing here, shouldn't you be working right now?

We talked a lot about the earlier days, back when we both made our first steps in the first team, our future plans and then he said thah he really wants to work with me again and he is telling his chairman, that he wants to work with me.
He is right now an youth coach and that I really would be a great Rolemodel for the younger kids.

Now lets wait and find out, what will happen next!

Great news!

Almost a week has past, since I met my former Teammate Albert Jorquera and I haven't heard anything from him and I worried if he forgot about me or if he just is too busy right now.
The last few days I watched a few local teams and really am convinced, that I'm ready to become a Manager.
Hopefully I'm going to hear from Albert in the next few days, working with old friends would be great and really is a key factor for me.

For now I talked to a few people and I could have the chance of a meeting with the chairmans of spanish Segunda Division teams CE L'Hospitalet, CE Sabadell and Lleida Esportiu.
Three teams seem to be interested in my services and I'm glad to have the opportunity to be there, because no one knows how I'm as a Manager, all of them are only interested because of my name and my former glory, I'm aware of that fact.

From now on I'm trying to relax a few days and then start headfirst into a new job, if anyone will sign me as a Manager!
