Life with Leicester

Hello fellow Fmscouters!

I am Xander, I have been on this site now since FM14 and have been playing FM since just before then. It is my hope that some of you may remember my story as Wolfsburg from FM14 but since then I have not really done any stories that have hit off but I have instead been trying to contribute to the team guides section of the site where hopefully I have helped you along the way. Anyway enough about me, today I am welcoming you to my first story of the year which is long overdue (meant to do this during beta) but anyway we have made it.

Why Leicester?

Well as you probably know they have been putting the premier league to the sword this season and have taken everyone by surprise and are sitting in 2nd in the league as I write this. So I wanted to see what really made Leicester the force that they are in the league at the moment and how they are doing so well and if Mahrez and Vardy can keep the form going for me in the game and get some results.

Who am I?

I am going to be controlling Leicester as myself and it will not really have a direct story line, just straight into the thick of the football and getting the results flowing. I will obviously write differently if the results are changing or the way that the team is playing has a drastic change but for the most part the tactics are going to be similar to what Leicester play in real life.

Formatting?

I am going to try and do my own sort of format, particularly in trying to make my own graphics. That is something that I have always wanted to commit to during a story and there is no better time then now to start doing that. I am also going to try and have the updates in more third person then first person, but knowing myself it won't be that way for long.

Kick back and enjoy lads

Cheers

Xander
Looking forward to how you do with the Foxes mate, replicate real life & you'll be a hero!
Good luck!
Gl Xander, not a big fan of Leicester, I have to admit (at least it's a fresh face for a change), but I hope you can replicate their real life heroics!

Good luck for the story. :)
Will be interesting to see how you do. Leicester is really surprising in real life.

Leicester make the right move, hire Dunlop

After the sacking of Nigel Pearson after Leicester's great escape from relegation Leicester have been on the search for a new manager and it looks like they have finally made the decision.

The players celebrating not being relegated

After missing out on many high quality jobs in England over the past 18 months, ex-Australian international Alexander Dunlop has finally found himself a job, at the helm of Leicester City.

Dunlop has been looking for management ever since his official retirement just over 3 years ago and he has finally found a high quality job at a quickly growing club. The manager was a fan favourite during his time in England, mainly known for his over the top play and audacious play attempts he is well known around England.

Dunlop was spotted on his arrival at King Power Stadium this morning and was not really in the mood to speak to the press (unlike the normal Dunlop) but did have something quick to say

"It is a dream to be appointed manager of a club like Leicester, it was terrific seeing them escape from relegation last season and you will be definently seeing big things from them this year"

We also got to hear from a past critic of Dunlop's being Andy Tate to see what he had to say about the appointment

"Look when he was playing I didn’t really think he was that good a player. He lacked passion and was a bit of a show-off. As a manager I am not sure what to expect, I can see him falling before Moyeseh did for United and I really am not sure what Leicester are doing. But I wish him the best of luck"
Harsh words from Tate there ;) good luck, man
