Newcastle United Vs Stoke City

Good Evening Viewers from all over of the world. Welcome to the live report of Newcastle United Vs Stoke City Premier League fixture. Newcastle kick off their title defense here in front of a packed St James Park in Newcastle. Today they will host Stoke City who will also look to start the campaign on a high. Let's look at the lineups from both sides:

Newcastle have surprised some pundits by selecting this starting lineup. Haris Vuckic takes charge in the striker's position, replacing Siem De Jong who scored in the Community Shield against Man United. Pavel Savitskiy and Will Hughes are set to make their debut in the Newcastle shirt.

Stoke City have selected a strong lineup. Jones and Obita will have to stop the raging Newcastle wingers from getting into their area. Ryan Shawcross is the key man here for Stoke as they look to tighten up their defense. Stojanovic and Origi provide width in their play.

Let's get straight to live action.

Commentary from Bradford Park Avenue manager Adam Chabukiani

KICK OFF: The whistle is blown and Newcastle kick off the game. They will attack from right to left.

5 MIN: Newcastle start this match brightly as Cabella's cross was just headed over the bar by Vuckic.

9 MIN: Newcastle almost scored. Cabella's swinging cross was picked up by Vuckic. The Slovenian's first time volley is going straight into the top corner and Cillesen somehow saves it. Fantastic Goalkeeping!

15 MIN: Flanagan receives the ball from Coloccini, but he is under pressure by Dioufwho snatches on a weak back pass from Flanagan and is one-on-one with Krul, and his shot is saved by Krul, whose punch goes straight to Balanta, who return the ball to Krul. Newcastle avoided a big scare there.Wait.... Stoke SCORES....... !!. Krul's kick hit straight on the back of advancing Diouf and it bounces of into the net. What a fluke goal. NEWCASTLE 0 STOKE 1

34 MIN: What a save!!! Savitskiy hammers in a bullet shot from 25 yards which was acrobatically tipped over the post by Cillesen. Great Goalkeeping. Newcastle win a corner

35 MIN: Cabella takes the corner straight to Will Hughes , who was lurking outside the area, and his first time shot.......... smashes into the net. What a strike! It's Hughes the debutant. What a debut he's having. Cillesen just watches it go past. He has no chance of saving that. NEWCASTLE 1 STOKE 1

HT: Newcastle 1-1 Stoke City

65 MIN: It's been a drab second half so far. No chances whatsoever for both teams.

FULL TIME: It's full time here at Newcastle. It's been great football to watch as a resilient Stoke held the Champions to a 1-1 draw. It finishes Newcastle United 1 Stoke City 1

Season 2: August

A great start to the season is vitally important in football. Especially if you are a title defender or challenger. August was not hectic month as we had to play only 3 games. Let's see what happened:

The month started with a disappointing loss in the Community Shield to the Red Devils. We didn't deserve that. The next game against Stoke was a furious game for both fans and for me. That game pointed some of the weaknesses of the team. The next game we dismantled newcomers Wolves.

The Champions League Draw

I, Our director Eric Cantona, and Assistant Manager Mauricio Taricco, has arrived at Zurich a few days earlier. We came here to watch the UCL Group Stage draw. We were in the 4th seed. I was very anxious about our possible group.
Now we were at the venue and we are seated just below Florentino Perez and Fernando Hierro. Both came to watch the draw. Earlier they had personally came to me congratulated me for my achievements in Newcastle. I was delighted at that time.

'Sooraj,here is Infantino',Said Cantona.

I saw Infantino arriving at the podium. At any moment our fate will be announced.

'Oh. So this man is him',Said I

'You didn't know him?',asked a puzzled Cantona

'I did not', I replied.

So the draw began. Platini was the special guest. He is one of my idols. But I think he is a bit bossy.

'The first team of Group A is Manchester City',announced Infantino

I was a bit relieved that we were not in Group A. A smile spread across my face

'Real Madrid in Group B',He continued.

The draw continued. As I can see, Group B looks to be the group of death. It consisted of Real Madrid, Juventus and Ajax. I felt anxious. The 4th seeds were going to be announced.

'Petrolul Ploiești is in Group A', Infantino announced.

We were still not announced. I was very scared that this would happen.........

'Newcastle United in Group B',the words I feared came out of Infantino's mouth

I felt as if I was going to fall. This year's Champions League is surely gone.

Great updates. :)
The start is going nice.
This Champions League draw was not nice at all. This will be an hard challenge there.

Manager Month Rating

In overall performances, I think we have done okay. But I do not approve of dropping points against Palace and 'so-called giants'Chelsea. Everton draw was very unlucky but the good news is that we managed to stay 2nd.
Man United were lucky in the COC. But I didn't give too much importance to it. But yet again we fell against that Red Devils
UCL was great for us. We managed to take away a precious point from Real Madrid. But a late Berardi goal took away our deserved point against Juve. But I am very happy with our progress here. :D

My Rating: /
That update was my 200th post. B)
Very good month.
Going great in the Premier League and Champions League.
Too bad about the Capital One Cup defeat with United, but it was an hell of a game.
De Jong and Rotariu were amazing wow!
Keep it up ;)
Murtagh Sporting: Thanks. Rotariu's been a beast. but De Jong injured for 6 months :(
