Jose Mourinho has resigned as Chelsea boss, with a fallout behind the scenes with Roman Abramovich.

The 52-year-old Portuguese was appointed at the start of June signing a four-year deal, when Abramovich felt that Rafael Benitez wasn't the man to take Chelsea forward.

Mourinho first arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2004, weeks after guiding Porto to the Champions League trophy.

He won the FA Cup and two League Cups as well as two Premier League titles but could not win the Champions League with the Blues.

His relationship with owner Roman Abramovich grew increasingly troubled and he quit despite having three years left on his contract. This is meant to be the downfall again, with Mourinho not getting backed in the summer transfer market.

More to follow on Sky Sports News.

Julen Lopetegui has been sacked as FC Porto Head Coach

Club President Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa has written a statement on the clubs website stating that they felt as a club that Julen didn't have the power to bring them to the next step and achieve bigger things.

He then goes on to say that he expects an imminent arrival in the next 7 days and that it will be one that will blow Europe away.

FC Porto confirm the return of Jose Mourinho on a one-year contract

Jose Mourinho, who blew Europe apart whenever he guided FC Porto to winning the Champions League back in the 2003/04 season when he went against the odds and beat the impressive AS Monaco 3-0.

Jose also guided FC Porto to 2 Portuguese Liga's, 1 Taça de Portugal, 1 UEFA Cup and 1 UEFA Super Cup.

Jose stated at his press conference that "this is a dream come true again, I always wanted to come home to Portugal and especially to Porto"

When asked if he could replicate the success he had whenever he was first here, Mourinho went on to say "who knows, we will see"
Good luck! Mourinho was unbelievable for Porto!
