I, am Carter Pannon.
I am six feet and two inches tall, weigh around thirteen stone and I've just been hired as the manager of Estoril in the Portuguese Premier League. I think that makes me the first Australian to manage a team in that league, and I definitely think it makes me first black Australian to manage a team in that league.
This is my first foray into management since gaining all of my qualifications. I tried for jobs everywhere, and Estoril were the first to offer me anything. I can't wait to start. I'm a single man of thirty-six years old, so I have no baggage to bring along with me other than the bags with my clothes in.
A house has been sorted and if I'm honest, it's brilliant. It's the best house I've ever owned. They even gave me some free pyjamas to wear to bed. The pay is decent and when you move from Australia to Portugal there's not much to moan about, especially weather wise.
I start my job today,and god am I excited.
