Hello and welcome to my first save in Football Manager history with Crewe Alexandra. I've seen enough videos and have a vague idea on how to play this game and I'm going to see how this goes and take in from there. Any advise on what to do would be appreciated.
Crewe Alexandra were formed in 1877 and their closest rivals are Stoke City and Port Vale, with Vale being at the moment the closest derby as they are in the same league. Crewe Alexanra are known for the quality of their youth facilities, with them being arguably the best youth facilities outside of the Premier League and maybe even better than some in the Prem. This is down to the actions of Dario Gradi, manager of Crewe from 1983-2007, in which he placed an increased emphasis on youth development, hence why the facilities are so good. Player bought through by this philosophy are Neil Lennon, Danny Murphy and Dean Ashton.
I've chosen Crewe as a result of these facilities and my save will have an emphasis on these facilities. However, because I am a FM novice, I will be making many mistakes and I will be asking questions so answers will be valued.
