Reputations

Basically I'd like to know a more in depth mechanic of the reputation system in fm2010. If a player refuses to join my club because he thinks it's a "step in the wrong direction", and my reputation is less than his, how can I increase it? Do I have to be equal or higher in rep?

How do I go about increasing my rep? Logically: winning competitions and trophies, but how much rep is each trophy/league position worth?

hmm it depends on couuntry and such.

everything has an affect on reputation. your signings, performances on the pitch.

even the country your league is at has a reputation and an affect on your signings.
so if your clubs reputation is 9132, but your in a country with lower in rep. then you might not be able to sign certain players because the league and the country are not as high repped like the big ones.

and i dont think anyone knows of how much exact in reputation increase you have when winning competitions.

i remember when i was ipswich once in my first season i won the FA cup, it didnt increase my rep that much, but once i started doing well in the UEFA cup i got a higher reputation.
