Due to the winter break, Toulouse only competed in three matches throughout January. In the first fixture, Toulouse trashed FC Fleury 91 in a 5-0 victory in the French Cup with Kelechi Iheanacho finishing the match with four goals.

In the next game, Toulouse continued their progression in the French Cup by coming from behind to defeat Ligue 2 side Racing Club de Lens. In the last game of the month, Toulouse put in a dominant display with a 4-1 victory against Havre Athletic Club.


After Wissam Ben Yedder missed a majority of the month due to injury, Kelechi Iheanacho seized his opportunity and performed well in the limited fixtures available in January. In the opening fixture of the month, the 22-year-old managed to score four goals in the French Cup 9th Round fixture against FC Fleury 91.

Pressure was placed upon Iheanacho when Toulouse manager Dominique Arribage signed Neal Maupay from AS Saint-Etienne during the January transfer window but the Nigerian international has stepped up to establish his position in the squad.


Only a few fixtures in the Ligue 1 have taken place due to the winter break but despite this some significant movement occurred at the top of the table. AS Monaco managed to come away with a 2-0 victory over league leaders Paris Saint-Germain to see them level on points with Toulouse.

The rest of the table remains relatively the same to the previous month as Ligue 1 returns to regular scheduling heading into February.


The fixture between Toulouse and Arsenal which is set to take place this month has seen an interesting turn after the departure of Toulouse captain Emanuel Mammana to the London club during the January transfer window. Despite this, the 23-year-old will not be eligible to play against his former club.


After winning two fixtures in the French Cup during January, Toulouse are set to face Ligue 2 side US Orleans in the 11th Round with the match set to take place at Stade de la Source.

Continuing their incredible form, Toulouse have now won ten consecutive matches after winning every match during February. Toulouse started the month with a 3-1 victory over rivals Girondins de Bordeaux which saw Willy Sagnol sacked by the club.

Toulouse would then win their next four fixtures comfortably with their best performance a four goal display against Stade Malherbe Caen which saw Wissam Ben Yedder collect a brace. In the final fixture of the month, Toulouse performed impressively to come away with a 3-2 victory against Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League matchup.


After being appointed captain following the departure of Emanuel Mammana to Arsenal, Cristian Pavon has lifted his game to another level to see him not only named Toulouse Player of the Month for February but also being awarded the Ligue 1 Player of the Month.

The Argentinian international put together an incredible month, scoring four goals from five matches while also producing two assists. Toulouse will have to continue to fight in order to keep the 23-year-old at the club but have high hopes in doing so after managing to hold off Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season.


Toulouse have managed to climb to the top of the Ligue 1 ladder after Paris Saint-Germain suffered a 3-2 loss to FC Lorient in their final fixture of the month. The form of Stade Rennais has fallen to see the sides below them begin to make up ground but despite this they remain in third.

At the bottom of the table, Tours FC managed to defeat Stade de Reims and En Avant de Guingamp while securing a draw against Stade Rennais to move out of the relegation zone. This has seen Girodins de Bordeuax fall down into the bottom three with the club responding immediately by sacking manager Willy Sagnol after four years with the club.


Despite an impressive 3-2 victory at Stadium Municipal, Toulouse remain underdogs to advance in the UEFA Champions League as they travel to face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the second leg.


A 2-1 victory over US Orleans has seen Toulouse qualify for the quarter-finals of the French Cup. Toulouse will face OGC Nice as they look to progress to the final four with the fixture set to take place at Stadium Municipal.

Starting the month in impressive fashion, a hat trick from Julian Weigl saw Toulouse come away with a dominant 4-0 victory over AS Monaco followed by a 1-0 win over OGC Nice to see them advance to the French Cup semi-finals.

Following two consecutive 2-0 victories over AS Saint-Etienne and Tours FC, Toulouse were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Arsenal before finishing the month with another comfortable 2-0 victory over AS Nancy Lorraine.


In his best month since joining the club two seasons ago, Julian Weigl has been rewarded by being named the Player of the Month for March. Arriving from Borussia Dortmund to replace Etienne Didot last season, the German has proven to be a consistent performer who drives the team in the midfield through his terrific passing and high work rate.

In what may prove to be one of the highlights of the season for Toulouse fans, Weigl put on his most dominant display against AS Monaco where he managed to complete a hat trick to see fans of Les Monegasques begin to leave Stadium Municipal just after half-time. The 23-year-old has already been linked to a move to Chelsea or possibly even a return to Borussia Dortmund.


Holding a considerable advantage at the top of the Ligue 1 table, Toulouse hold a five point advantage over Paris Saint-Germain who have managed to go through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Stade Rennais and Olympique Lyonnais look set to battle it out for third place but find themselves in striking distance should any of the five sides below them find form.

No clear contender for relegation has appeared with all sides looking likely to fight it out until the end. Despite being in last place, Stade de Reims have started to look more dangerous with Wilfried Bony beginning to find form.


A comfortable 2-0 victory to Arsenal in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie has seen Toulouse eliminated from the competition. Toulouse once again exceeded expectations but find themselves frustrated at being knocked out of the competition at the same stage as last season.


After advancing to the semi-finals by defeating OGC Nice, Toulouse are set to play title rivals Paris Saint-Germain at Stadium Municipal. In the other semi-final, Montpellier HSC will travel to face En Avant de Guingamp.

You're starting to pull away from PSG keep it up mate! Also unlucky against Arsenal, but Weigl is an elite player three seasons into my Dortmund save so he will be a great buy for you!

A 2-2 draw against FC Lorient started off the month for Toulouse before going on to a dominant 5-0 win over rival side Montpellier HSC with Wissam Ben Yedder finishing the match with a hat-trick. A late goal from Serge Gnarby sealed a 1-0 victory for Toulouse over Olympique de Marseille before finishing the month with a comfortable victory over FC Nantes.


Using his speed and acceleration, M’Baye Niang contributed four assists in four games as well as scoring a goal during April. The 24-year-old joined Toulouse in the 2017/18 season after playing for a number of clubs across Europe on various loan spells while at A.C. Milan.

After continuing his good performances into his second season with Toulouse, Niang has been linked to a move to Manchester United with manager Ryan Giggs interested in securing the French international.


Currently six points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain while having played one more game, Toulouse hold the advantage in the Ligue 1 title race. Stade Rennais sit comfortably in third while Olympique Lyonnais have broken clear of its competitors to find themselves in fourth place.

Five sides appear to be in the race to qualify for the UEFA Europa League while at the other end of the table Stade de Reims and Dijon FCO look likely to go down to Ligue 2 with a number of sides still mathematically capable of joining them in the drop zone.



The winner of the match between Toulouse and Paris Saint-Germain will go on to face En Avant de Guingamp who advanced to the French Cup final by defeating Montpellier HSC.
