FM is ruined.....

Seriously, what happened to just sticking a team out with a decent tactic, buying better players and winning - not all the time, but winning.

I've tried multiple saves now and nothing is working. There's absolutely no logic to it whatsoever - and I've been pretty successful at every other version going back to Champ Man in the early days.

I think you're not alone. For some reason, most of the loyal veterans of the franchise are leaving because the game is no longer enjoyable as it used to be. And sadly the newcomers are not exactly dedicated fans, which is a problem for the Football Manager community.

I can't speak on behalf of others, but I can tell you that the last career I enjoyed was back in FM12. It could just be me and the shift of responsibilities in my life, but I get the impression that the game has become exhausting and focusing too much on the "brat-like" personality of players. And apparently your main task is now to try to keep players happy.

I've talked to a lot of people who used to be loyal veterans and they've either switched to touch mode (formerly known as classic) or abandoned the game. Since FM expanded to more platforms, there might be more sales overall but I see a decline in contributions and stories around the scene. That's no coincidence.

It is sad indeed that the latter FM franchise is focusing on player morale so much instead of the results and competition achievements
