LEIECESTER CITY ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNING

Boca Juniors full back Gino Peruzzi has officially signed for Leicester City on a 4 year contract. The transfer fee is rumoured to be around £3m. This is Kai Marsh's second signing for Leicester City so far.
LEICESTER LOAN CARROLL

Leicester announced their third signing in a matter of days as Tom Carroll has signed on a one year loan deal from Tottenham. Leicester manager Kai Marsh commented on his signing saying "He's a very good player and if he works hard he has the ability to be involved around our first team"
PRE SEASON

As you can see we did quite well in pre season even though we lost the big one vs Milan.

It started with a fairly comfortable 2-0 win over Hamilton Academical, with Albrighton scoring both after coming on as a sub. Proving he deserves a chance in the first team?

Our second game was probably my biggest win on FM to date. 9-0 against Clyde which was a very fair reflection of the game. We were simply amazing - we played great football and scored some crackers too. The scorers were Mahrez, King, Morgan, Vardy(3), Drinkwater, Simpson and Okazaki.

Next up we faced Greenock Morton who were brushed aside 3-0 thanks to an Okazaki hattrick, and it should have been more as he had a penalty saved by the keeper.

Then we played Kilmarnock who were the first side to score against us so far, but it ended in a fairly easy 3-1 win. Scorers were Gray and Vardy(2).

The next match was the only game of pre season against better opposition. We played fairly well and it was honestly an even game but AC Milan just had the edge in terms of quality which saw them beat us 1-0 thanks to a goal from Bacca. Unfortunately Vardy had a poor penalty saved late into the match which would most likely have given us a draw, but I've totally forgiven him.

Our last game against Stevenage was a good 3-0 win to gain positive momentum going into the start of the season. The scorers were Vardy, Huth and Dodoo.

So, I'm happy with our pre season as we seem to have nailed down our style of high press, fast and fluid football. Also I'm not going to complain about scoring 20 goals and only conceding 2 even though we were against pretty awful teams. Hopefully we can carry this into the first few fixtures of our Premier League season! :)
Some good moves there, still don't think its Mission Impossible though... I believe you will put together some great results!

TACTICS

Here is the lineup that I will start the season with but will most likely switch around depending on form and fitness. Obviously some of the roles will be changed depending on the situation, for example it's probably best I don't go to the Etihad or Emirates with the full backs set to attack. Few close calls in the starting 11 like LW- can't make my mind up between Correa and Gray.

Here are the team instructions I will use most often, although I'm going to make slight adjustments depending on the situation just like any normal manager would. We are aiming to press the other team off the pitch then hit them with a fast and direct counter attack which should be very affective with quick players like Vardy, Mahrez, Gray and Correa. It seemed to work well when I used it in pre season so hopefully it will be just as effective once we start the season.
FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON
Our first Premier League game looks to be a tough one away to Everton but I feel we can exploit their weak defence on the counter and have a good chance of getting at least a draw. I'm worried about their strong attack although they have a few good players out injured including the likes of Baines, Besic, Pienaar and Deulofeu.

Key players:
Lukaku:

This guy is a big danger for us as his pace and power might prove a difficult task for our defence to handle. Hopefully Huth and Morgan can deal with the crosses into him but I'm not sure they will be able to catch him if he gets in behind our defence.

Barkley:

Barkley is a very dangerous player when he's playing at his best. He can run at defences and is good at long shots so we will have to close him down while also making sure he can't play the ball to Lukaku.

KICK OFF
0'. Lukaku and Barkley kick the game off as Everton start with the ball but they cheaply give it to us just a few seconds into the game. We play the ball out wide to Mahrez who is up against Funes Mori today which should be an interesting battle. Funes Mori simply cannot handle his pace and dribbling and takes him down.

2'. We get a corner on the right hand side which is put in by Mahrez but is headed out to Drinkwater who plays a one-two with Mahrez then whips the ball into the box....
VARDYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Just two minutes into the game Jamie Vardy has bagged our first goal of the season! Unbelievable scenes! Now can we hold onto our early lead or maybe even get another goal?

17'. A poor kick from Tim Howard reaches new signing Peruzzi who drives deep into the Leicester half, plays a one-two with Kante then slips it through...
MAHREZZZZZZZ!

Unbelievable!! Great finish from Mahrez to put us 2-0 up against Everton at Goodison with just 17 minutes on the clock! Maybe we actually have a chance at winning the league...

37'. Angel Correa looks like he's picked up a thigh strain after having a decent debut so far, but he is forced to be taken off with Gray coming on to replace him. Hopefully not a serious injury.

45'. The half time whistle goes and what a first half! As long as we stay strong at the back in the second half we should get three points.

75'. Andy King is brought on to replace Kante who hasn't done too much today but still put in a decent performance. Everton are definitely on top but are struggling to create any good chances as we go into the last 15 minutes of the game.

89'. Moore is subbed on to replace Inler and I stuck him at CB so I have 5 at the back, you can probably guess I've also gone completely defensive looking to just hoof the ball up when we get it and waste time for the last few minutes.

90'. Oviedo whips in a great corner which is met by the head of Jagielka...
but it's met by a terrific save from Schmeichel! Just one more minute of added time so hopefully we can keep a clean sheet.

92'. The whistle finally goes! What a great performance all round, from defence to attack everyone played brilliant today. First three points of the season on the board and hopefully there's many more to come!

MOTM- Riyad Mahrez
CORREA OUT FOR 3 WEEKS

After being substituted off just 37 minutes into his Leicester City debut, it has today been confirmed Angel Correa will be out for an estimated 3 weeks with a thigh strain.
Good start so far mate, although its a shame about Correa's injury

CAPITAL ONE CUP DRAW
Leicester City will take on Preston North End at The King Power Stadium in the second round of the Capital One Cup. The home team are unsurprisingly favourites against the Championship side. The match will take place on Tuesday 25th August.
Great result against Everton! Shame about the injury though. Relatively easy C1C draw too

AUGUST

Our second game of the season is at home vs Newcastle which sounds like a game we should win but no doubt they have some dangerous players including Perez and Doumbia.
With Correa out injured, I started Gray on the left wing but other than that we were playing with our strongest team.

Newcastle grabbed an early goal thanks to Doumbia after just 4 minutes. After that we were the team on top but we just couldn't create any good chances. It wasn't until the second half that we finally scored and of course it could only have been one man, Jamie Vardy AKA Jamie Vardinho. And just as I was hoping we could grab a late winner, Newcastle hit us on the break as Cisse is played through and he slots the ball past Schmiechel. With just 7 minutes left there was little hope for us to even get a draw. We switched all our focus to attack in an attempt to score, but it just wasn't our day. The game finished 2-1.

Next up we have a massive game vs Arsenal at The Emirates. We are going to have to be at our best to get anything from this game!
Just as a quick note, we have injuries to Wasilewski (3 weeks) and Dyer (7 weeks) but it's not like they are a major part of the team so not a big issue. Some good news though as it's only a few days until Correa is back from his injury! Anyway here are the teams:

So not many surprises in this match. Arsenal dominated us from the first minute to the last. The only big surprise was that it took them a whole 28 minutes to score against us. Oh, and probably that the game only finished 3-0 despite the fact Arsenal had a ridiculous 41 shots against us, 20 of them being on target too. The scorers were Ramsey, Sanchez and Walcott for those wondering. Lets just say we were lucky it was only 3-0 and move on from this game swiftly..

Now it's time for our first game in the Capital One Cup against Preston. You would expect an easy win but we haven't exactly been in great form with two losses in a row.

Thankfully this game was a bit easier and we actually played alright. Kante got the first goal after 18 minutes then he grabbed another just 5 minutes later. Then the game became pretty boring and nothing of note happened until the final whistle went which means we are through to the next round! I know we didn't quite beat Barcelona but we should still be happy with the win and hopefully we can actually get back to back wins now and get some good form going.

Our last game of August is against Norwich who are a team we shouldn't underestimate. We should be winning this game though without much problem.

This was a very strange game as we simply just weren't good enough when it came to attacking which cost us 2 valuable points. Our attack has been the best part of our team so far so to not score against Norwich was very disappointing. Oh yeah, the score was 0-0 if you hadn't already worked that out. We created very few chances and the match was very boring to be honest with very few highlights. Not quite as bad as watching Man United though.
Not the greatest month ever but in typical Leicester fashion you'll come back ;)

I would firstly just like to thank everyone who has posted comments and also everyone who has been following the story! Now I've came to the decision that I will most likely stay as Leicester City for just two seasons since I am so busy I don't have time to post a lot. My aim is to post once every 3/4 days but with my GCSE's coming up in a couple months there could be long periods where I don't post so if that happens don't be too surprised. Anyway I hope everyone has enjoyed this so far as I certainly have and from now on I will try to reply to the comments as I really appreciate all the nice feedback people have given so far :)
