Giggs Quits After Broken Promise
Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs has resigned from his role at the club after reportedly being promised the managerial role if Louis van Gaal didn't win any silverware in his first season at the helm. Ed Woodward today confirmed the Dutchman would continue in his role.
"Louis is an acclaimed manager and we have every confidence that he will succeed this season."
A visibly upset Giggs was seen departing Carrington this morning and the 41 year old confirmed his resignation minutes later using his Twitter account.

Manchester United also announced the departure, citing 'personal terms' as the reason behind it. We attemped to speak with club legend and director Sir Alex Ferguson but he was unavailable for comment.
Although it's been denied by the club, the supposed treatment of Giggs has been met with outcry from fans, many defending the club's game record holder. Some, however, agree that van Gaal needs more time, whilst the board of FC United of Manchester extended a somewhat satirical hand to Giggs, with the tweet, "Join the party Ryan, a managerial role is waiting for you at FC United."

Some are suggesting he will look to join another EPL club's coaching staff, whilst others are linking him with a job in the Wales set-up. Whatever the outcome, it will be interesting to see Ryan Giggs, post-United.
