Real Oviedo Hire Former Player Michu as their manager!
Breaking news this morning from Oviedo, President of Real Oviedo Jorge Menéndez has confirmed the appointment of their former player Michu as Real Oviedo Manager. Michu started his career at Real Oviedo as a 16 year old in 2002, he stayed there for 5 seasons and then left on a free to go and join Celta Vigo, after a five year stint at Celta Vigo (In Liga Adelante at the time), he left on a free to Rayo Vallecano to test his skills in the top flight of spanish football. Michu would proceed to make 37 appearances that season scoring 15 goals. That performance caught the eye of Michael Laudrup who was Swansea's manager at the time, and signed him for £2.1 Million. Michu had an amazing debut season for Swansea scoring 18 goals in 35 appearances. His second season at Swansea was the opposite, after his horrible second season Swansea loaned Michu out to Napoli, Michu only making 3 appearances. Swansea terminated Michus contact telling him he had no chance playing. Jorge Menéndez also said Michu will be holding a press conference tomorrow.
