Breaking News: Arsène Wenger steps down as Arsenal manager

Reports today are confirming the news broken earlier in the week that Arsène Wenger, the current longest serving manager in English football has stepped down from his managerial role at Arsenal, taking up a place on the board. Many believe that this change has come about due to increasing fan pressure based on the clubs failure to win a league title since 2004.

Assistant manager Steve Bould will take charge of team training sessions until a new manager is appointed, with the club stating that they hoped to have their man by the end of the week. The current favourites with the bookies are former Arsenal stars Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry.

Thierry Henry to take charge at Arsenal

Today it has been confirmed that Arsenal legend Thierry Henry will take over as the manager of the club that he played for 369 times, scoring 226 goals.

In a statement for Arsenal.com Henry said "I am very pleased, humbled and honoured to be given the opportunity to take over the club I love. This doesn't happen for everybody, I was privileged to play here for so long and now to get this chance I am over the moon."

Many pundits are suggesting that appointing someone with such little experience in management could prove risky regardless of his standing at the club. Henry though, has said that he is relishing the chance to work at the very top and will be looking to shake up the squad before the start of the new season.
Good luck with the new story, had a great time using Arsenal on FIFA so I grew to like them!
