
Pochettino headed for White Hart Lane

English Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur has signed Mauricio Pochettino to a five-year deal.The 42-year old will leave current club Southampton after finishing in 8th, the clubs highest league finish since 2002-03 when James Beattie led them with 23 goals. During his 18 months with the club, Pochettino became a favourite amongst the supports following his attacking style of football. The Saints fans will undoubtedly be upset with the news.
At Spurs, the Argentine will replace former head coach Tim Sherwood who was sacked on 13th May. During an interview with the clubs website, Pochettino explained his decision,
"This is a club with tremendous history and prestige and I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to be its head coach. There is an abundance of top-class talent at the club and I am looking forward to starting work with the squad."
