Hi this is my first post.
Managing Tottenham Hotspur in FM2008 is driving me nuts,
I have wasted 100s of hours to always get sacked no matter what I do.
I`m obviously not understanding something here so any pointers would be very much appreciated.
I have tons of questions I `d like to ask but I`ll ask one or two at a time so as not to be too greedy.
Training:
I usually get a 5-7 star coach on each training attribute for the 1st team, although I tend to neglect the youth team as I am not allowed enough coaches to do it properly.
Hopefully this is acceptable?
Pre-season:
I train all my squad on
strength\Aerobic\ball control\tatics\set pieces
(high on str+aer medium on rest)
until they are just above the top line in the players training attributes chart or if the player complains & then I bung them on my own defined training for the rest of the season.
This works well for a few months and then all of a sudden bang! It all goes to pot as if the game sabotages them and most of my team are zapped to low training levels & I can never really get them going again for months. (this also happens using other peoples training schedules I have tried)
So, my questions are:
Am I training pre-season properly? If not could you advise me please?
Should I just ignore training once the season is underway?
I`m not sure which type of player need strength training more or aerobic less etc. please help.
When a player is playing badly I sometims give then a few days rest or bung them on general training, sometimes it works mostly not.
Should I tinker like this?
I`m not that good at this training lark & it appears that if you don`t get it right then you can`t do well in the game.
Most irritating and frustrating.
