Lennon Leaves

A statement from Bolton Wanderers was realised late last night and it stated that manager Neil Lennon has left the club. After just 10 months in charge of the Trotters Lennon resigned as manager, inside sources say that Lennon wasn't enjoying his time at the club and he felt the fans where out to get him. Bolton may very well struggle to find a new manager with as high reputation as Lennon with all the money problems they have ran into over the past years.

Bolton fans have been crying out for years for a manger to come in and take them back to the days of Big Sam, where they enjoyed spells in Europa League and seen great players like Jay-Jay, Kevin Davies, Kevin Nolan, Stelios and many more.

Bolton where relegated from them premiership in 2012 when they came 18th after a 2-2 draw with stoke who crushed Bolton's dreams the year before as well in the F.A cup semi final when they gave them a 5-0 pasting at Wembley

The Favourites

Paul Jewell is favourite to be announced next Bolton manger with 8/1 odds Jewell has manged at 5 clubs over 14 years starting his career at Bradford City in 1998. Jewells longest time at a club is the 6 years he spent at Wigan Athletic where he took them from division two right the way to the premier league and to the F.A cup final in 2006 where they was beaten 4-0 by Manchester United.

There are also 3 other managers that have had there name mentioned in recent news with a link to Bolton, David Moyes has been tipped at 25/1 along with Roy Keane. Ian Holloway has been tipped at 20/1 to become the next manger but Bolton are telling us they will be releasing a statement announcing there new manger in the next week so a deal may be close.

New Manger announcement

Today we are proud to announce Daniel Haydock as the new manager of Bolton Wanderers.
Daniel has signed a 1 year deal with the club on around £12,500 a week. His contract includeds a possible 2 year extension, Haydock will be taking charge at the club right away diving into transfers and training getting to know the players around him and has already booked a day at foot golf as a team bonding session. We would like to wish Haydock all the best on his mission to take us back to where we belong! COYWM

Step in to my office

Phil-So Daniel ive called you in today to discuss some of the things we would like to see during your one year deal this will help you earn that extention you so despritly wanted

Daniel-Fire away

Phil-As much as we would like to see you bring in some top quality talent we simply cant free up the funds at the moment so there is going to be no transfer budget and a very small wage budget. Were not expecting miricals in your first season just a top half finish will do show the fans you are capable of coming above 10th.
Ive heard of some of the lads you are settling in really well and have a good realationship with Josh vela and Zach clough which i am glad to here about

Daniel-Ye we Josh and Zach have all sat down and had a very good chat, i also think that i am going to make Josh my vice captin, with him being so young i think if we can get leadership skills drilled in to him early we will have a great captin in a couple of years.

Phil-Hmm I see where you are coming from but Mark is a very good vice capitan and leader and so is Darren Pratley so what are you going to do abouth them who will be capitan

Daniel-Spearing will be my capitan and don't worry about mark and Darren I will have a talk with them and tell them my plans so they know exactly why i am doing what i am doing.

Phil-Alright well i suggest you do it sooner rather than layer and i wish you the very best of luck Daniel if there is anything you need at all you give me a call or just come in to my office I'm always willing to listen.

Daniel-Thanks Phil i will see you later

Bolton loan two

Bolton have today completed the loan signings off Jay fulton from Swansea until the end of the season and milos veljkovic from spurs till the end of the season.
Bolton have also took Ex Liverpool goalkeeper in on a trial period

Bolton have also confirmed today that midfielder Neil Danns has gone to Bristol City for 150k along with young Tom Walker on loan. Jamie Thomas has also left Bolton for a year long loan at Yeovil.

Haydock made it clear today that he is willing to listen to any offers for Gary Madine, Laim Trotter, Medo and Shola Amiobi, it is not yet confirmed weather Emile Heskey will be staying at the club or if he is on the move we will bring you more as it comes.

Pre-season

Pre-season seen Haydock pick up 3 wins and 1 draw in his first 4 games at Bolton Wellington Silva on loan from Arsenal picked up player of pre-season with 3 goals and 3 assists.

Haydock played a rotated squad to what you would expect with Zach Clough, Maz Clayton, Dorian Dervite, Mark Davies all out injured it was all about finding there cover.
Unfortunatly for Bolton by the end of Preseason goalkeeper Ben Amos and Stricker Gary Madine had both got injured Madine expected to be out for 1 month Amos 3 weeks, but with the season fast approaching this is not what Bolton need.

Bolton sign two more

Bolton have today completed the signings of Brad Jones and Jermaine Pennant on free agents.
Brad spent all preseason on trial with Bolton but only sat on the bench but with first choice keeper Ben Amos picking up an injury Bolton where struggling for a keeper.
Haydock had this to say " Brad is a very good goalkeeper the only reason he didn't get game time during preseason is because he wasn't sure weather he wanted a contract or not he came in to primarily help train Ben Amos and get him ready for the season, when Brad heard about Bem's Injury he decided to put pen to paper on a contract for one year with a possible extention."
