http://tinypic.com/r/12214i1/9For the 10th year, I am beginning the same journey I embark on every new release, beginning my FM save as Leicester City. Nine times out of ten i have been sacked within two seasons then flourish in the lower tiers of the English Football League.
With little of a transfer budget after the signing of two un needed strikers, Ive been hit with dilema number one.... How on earth can I flog Jeffery Schlupp to Southampton for less than £10million. Yes he is no way near worth anything close to that bracket in "real life" but i need a new CB to replace the wilting Robert Huth.
Long story short, I sold him and currently still find myself with no CB. Although i did sign Hernanes for around the 3 million mark. <--- Hasn't lived up to that though.
Im about 8 games in, with the Champions league fixtures destroying the fitness of my first team. The hi lights so far include and 8-2 thrashing by West Brom (Robson Kanu with 4 goals!?!?!) and have had 4 players sent off in less than 6 league games. Never mind the 15 yellow cards this season already. Has anyone else found this?
So heres where i am now, 16th in the league, 7 points. Who would have thought Bournemouth would be able to cope with a 5-2 comeback win against Man City. IS this again because of Jack Wilshere being over rated on another addition of FM?
Within hours of my last post i find my self with in the grasp of being sacked. With just 15 points collected in 13 games i have been requested to gain 10 points from the next 5 games. My fixtures are; Stoke, West Ham, Crystal Palace,Southampton and Man Utd. Dare I say it, I'm not sure how this is going to pan out. Maybe the curse of selling Schlupp is in full effect!
TARGET 10 POINTS 5 GAMES
Is this going to be one of same old scenarios where I have to reload a save after each loss to secure my position or do I suck it up and accept the inevitable?
Game 1 Stoke vs Leicester
Moving on to the first game, with Vardy suspended for his second red of the season I was left with no choice but to bank on a Slimani with only a couple of goals to start as a lone striker against a withering Stoke. Ill let the screen shot below do the talking.

Yes this is no joke, a side who lost in a shootout to Rotherham in the EFL cup has had its 45 minutes of pure Slimani madness. The game went on to finish 8-2 however the greatest satisfaction came from Peter Crouch scoring against my legion of men. Thoroughly deserved from my childhood hero. #didn'tdotherobot
Game 2 West Ham vs Leicester
Update coming soon.
