I started of my managerial career with Hull and finished 17th the Premier League, escaping relegation. I was then offered a place as manager of Zaragoza around January time in my 2nd season. Naturally I accepted and helped Zaragoza finish 12th (I joined when they were 19th). In my 3rd managerial season I was doing very well with Zaragoza at Christmas time, holding 2nd position with a 2 point gap to Madrid. At the start of January the board put a transfer embargo on the club until a takeover was complete. Totally unexpectedly some Icelandic billionare takes over the club & injects £20m. I thought fair enough but at the end of the season (finishing 2nd), starting my 3rd Zaragoza season, he injects a very nice £60m and then gave me on top of that a £105m transfer budget. Just spent it all on david villa, alex (villareal), otamendi & the best regens. Then after that he comes in with £44m. Total injection: £229m - In 1 and a half seasons
Does this normally happen or am I really lucky?
I'm not complaining but now I've got really high expectations. Board expect me to win the title and the Champions League, but don't care about any other Cup competetions

This has happened to me once before in a game with Newcastle. Once I got them back into the Prem the chairman changed to a group of Americans and they were throwing money into the club constantly giving me the money to buy anyone I liked and the wage budget to match. I used it to buy quality players from most leagues to build a squad which won me almost everything

Unlucky mate but I was in the same position as you just before the takeover. All my transfer money went into Samir Nasri who was a great buy at £4.7m. I got 80% of my players on frees but then next minute david villa's on the shortlist. You never know what can happen in FM
True cant moan tho got 5 million in summer but after you take Leeds out of league 1 and into championship you need to buy a entire new squad 5 million dont go far

You are really lucky mate, i've only ever had a takeover twice, the first time, they just sacked me & the second it was by a German consortium who were even tighter than my previous chairman.
The next person that gets a generous chairman - please tell them to send one of their rich friends down to South America to help with my team.
lol, this is a guess but I think if during a takeover period you are doing much better in the league than predicted, the tycoon's will be interested, but i'm not sure, but just in case make sure your on good form during a takeover
