IRC Chat Channel

Alright, I know this ain't new, as we had a chat section once.
A site member asked me about remaking the chat section. Though as I wouldn't want to be in charge (nor any of the current staff members), he volunteered to be that man.

Compared to our previous chat facility, this would be pure IRC chat, one could join using mIRC or any other client; but we'd probably offer an online client for those who don't want to install anything on their computer.

What do you guys think of it? Would you like that integrated to our community or not?

I think that it is a good idea but personally I would not use it regularly would probably prefer sticking to forums posts. But then again it could be brilliant. I'd go for it as it adds something more to the site.

i think it provides an excellent option for those wanting to start an online game. like you, i'd mostly stick to the forums, but chat could be useful at times.

I agree with you on the online game usage & i think it would be good for users who need to ask questions for a quick response

Easy to talk "live" to other users..
And bunch ideas/suggestions about the fantastic Football Manager game!

I run the network myself with some other good people.
We're a bunch of good people so no harm will be done!

hmm i use irc time to time to send things and receive things with friends. i think seinfeld could create a IRC topic in the off-topic section. and if IRC gets popular we can create an own channel?

Why dont you connect to the network? and join the 2 channels i've created.. And take a look..
Stam is going to create the "IRC" section tomorrow.. with a howto and such...

I've added a new tab in the menu, online client takes a couple of ages to load :p
Should enrich the page with some images maybe... make it easier for people to follow the "how to use" part?

Hi guys, got a problem. Downloaded the mIRC and opened the application. Then my AVG anti-virus alert came up & said it had detected malware and to delete the files, which I did. Any help?????

You should just ignore it...
AVG is just fucked up..

Just download it again, and install it.
You can take my word.
I wouldnt want anyone to install anything that would fuckup your system.
