First things first let me tell you about the club. Brighton and Hove Albion was founded in 1901. In 1997 the goldston ground (formerly Brighton's football stadium) was demolished. What meant Brighton (The seagulls) was without a football Stadium.
In 1999 Brighton was aloud to move into Withdean Stadium only an 8850 staduim at the time. The stadium was temporary home for Brighton whilst a new stadium was built in nearby Falmer. This resulted in the team playing their home matches for two seasons at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium, over 70 miles (110 km) from Brighton, before moving to Withdean Stadium.
Brighton was only suppose to be at Withdean for 3 seasons but lasted until July 2011, 12 years since they moved into Withdean. Falmer Staidum had fully been built. Now known today as The American Express Community Staduim due to sponsorship deal with American Express.
2015/2016
Last Season Brighton narrowly missed out on promotion by a goal difference of 2, meaning Brighton would be in the play off's. Losing 3-1 on agg to Sheffield Wednesday was hard enough in the semi final's, but enough is enough. We will come back
Brighton and Hove Albion - Season 1
My first season with Brighton was a great success; losing 6 games all season I was happy, but my favourite part of that season has to be my 23 league games unbeaten going from 27th August against Newcastle to the 28th January against the club we played to get the run going Newcastle.
We had already gained automatic promotion something we deserved, but we was fighting all the way there was 1 point separating Brighton who was second and Norwich who was first. They both had 1 game left we had to get the win and hope Ryan Giggs (The manager of QPR) do us a favour to guarantee the title. Norwich at half time was winning 2-1 if they could hold on to this lead they will win the title. Brighton still drawing to Aston Villa. It is going to be a battle to the end for the title. 54th Min a Norwich man is sent off and a Penalty to QPR. Hopes for Brighton's title was in reach all they had to do was score. Goal - 2-2 Norwich - QPR. Not long left to go. There is news at Villa Park. Solly March from outside of the area shoots from 25 yards out goal. What a goal that was. The title is in sight. UNBELIEVABLE Tim Klose has scored an own goal. Brighton fans are singing and chanting the title is ours. FT Brighton 1-0, Aston Villa, Norwich 2-3 QPR. Brighton have done it the first time in the Premier league since it was named in 1992. Some unbelievable stuff here. Time for the play offs, QPR who was 20th place when Ryan Giggs took over is now sitting in 6th. They will have to play Newcastle in the semi final and Bristol City will take on Sheffield Wednesday. It is going to be a playoff to remember. Newcastle, QPR finishing 6-5 agg and Bristol City losing 3-1 on aggregate to Wednesday. The day of the playoff final was approaching quick and fast Newcastle vs Sheffield Wednesday. 1 space in the premier league who will grab it. FT Newcastle 1 Wednesday 2. It is all over at Wembely the fans are cheering Sheffield Wednesday. Brighton and Norwich are all in the Premier League next season.
Hope you guys enjoy
See you soon. Season 2 awaits.
