Loading Game Data... forever

I'm running Windows 10 64bits. I start FMSE17 and when I click Load Game, the progress bar keeps running and the loading never finishes. I'm stuck on this screen:

the only version supported by FMSE17 is Steam 17.2.1
Any chance you're trying to load a game in a different version?

I had this too.
The editor has to run after the game has launched. Load FM17, load your saved game, then run FMSE and click "Load Data". It loads the data fine then.

game is loaded, save game is loaded.

FMRTE and genie scout can load game data with no problem, but FMSE for some reason can't load any data (or can't finish it)

That's interesting. Can you please try running FMSE as admin? If it still doesn't work, can you please send your save game with wetransfer or similar to [email protected]?

whoops...
I forgot about admin. runing fmse with admin privilege fixes the problem. the game loaded instantly
