Bakambu (AF.A)
Mentality: Control
Shape: Flexible
Instructions: Look for overlap, Work ball into box, Higher tempo
Player instructions: Fullbacks to stay wider, Inside forwards to stay narrower
Instructions explained
With narrow inside forwards, fullbacks attack the available wide space, which is made possible by staying wider. Look for overlap allows the team to exploit the forward runs of the fullbacks.
An attacking presence of two inside forwards (who are more centrally aligned) and an advanced forward makes it sensible to work ball into box (where they are placed when attacking). A higher tempo favors the pacey trio of Sansone, Bakambu and Castillejo, as well as enabling the team to quickly exploit opportunities. This is also sensible as Roberto Soriano, Bruno and Trigueros are good passers.
If helpful (or not), please provide appropriate feedback.
Bonne chance!
